IMO Jedi should fight BH's because it's been like this since publish 6. I think this would answer your question... BH's shouldn't lose anything such as more decay or any other downside of beinga BH. The reason why I say this is because the Jedi population is too high atm and I think it should be taking care of... adding a downside to being a Bounty Hunter will only make the game more boring and useless. I personally think Bounty Hunters are great, as long as they dont talk $hit I have no problems with them... and no, I dont think Bounty Hunters should be taking any more nerfs as it is.

I totally disagree with this thread, if you dont like how the profession Bounty Hunters is... quit the game.

I could care less about what a bh loses. I get tired of killing them for no reward.

Like I said with the others, deal with it.. it's been like this since publish 6, it aint gonna happen...end of story.

I don't run from them and they all die. It gets tiring to keep killing them for no reason other than they have my mission.

I was at surge status after publish 10 and worked hard to get glowy, I got it alright and read the forums...i've jumped from player city to player city (In shuttles), checked out the terrain....basically followed the tips well.

This might or might not have been discussed before, but I don't know, so I'm posting it for me. I'm asking that because other than the thrill of the fight there's nothing in it for a Jedi.

If a bounty hunter dies he's got to lose a couple droids, couple foods, and half an hour. If they win they get money.

On the other hand, the Jedi gets nothing in case of victory and has a lot to lose in case of defeat. But then "l33t bh dat cnat spel rite" will start talking all sorts of trash: ie. ahahahaha u wuss lol u coward etc.

Sure there's gonna be the 25 bounty hunters that post here coming and telling me how I should stay off the terms, and how that's the price for being a Jedi, oppinion which I respected before, but when you have a level 60 padawan having to fight a level 80 bounty hunter, how can you tell them that? When you have a MBH/MCM after you dealing 1500 damage a second, how can you tell them that?

I hope I made some sense in this post. :/

Anyway, /rant off.

Thanks for reading.

your right jedi have nothing to gain , so dont fight dont give bhs the content they seek by searching you and wasting droids and foods and what not.

either go to kash to avoid some the bhs or you can just sit in your house and wait for bh to come and see that your not goin to come out .... god i love when they throw their tantrum when you wont fight them . heck i have a pretty good house design inside now.

and yes i fight sometimes bhs when im bored, but most of the time i find bh annoyances that if ignored they will just leave.

SOE wont let me hotlink a really cool sig......Boooo

It's a failed system. I'm starting to tell people that if they want to play in a star wars universe, to get off this SWG game. This is not star wars, it's an mmorpg that uses the names off the SW movies for advertising.

VERY slick. I'm gonna make me a basketball game under the same concept, call it The Lord of the Rings and have all the characters from the movies playing basketball.

dude...if you make "star wars pong" but make it so the only playable character paddlesare pokemon, you can probably get at least 200k subscribers....

I'm gonna make a game call BH wars and everyone will be a bh or a Jedi and the charecters will be POKEMON's and it will be call poke yee mon StarWars!

Yoda will be played by Jiggly Puff, in a limited Green colour

"Just stay off the terms..."

That's pretty hard to do bud when,

a) Bikes give vis
b) Corpses give vis
c) People wandering up to your grind group give vis
d) NPCs (even dead) give vis.

etc. etc.

...Posting rants on these forums is like a rocking chair; it gives you something to do, but it doesn't get ya anywhere... write that down.

Easy, stay off the Terms, dont use your powers infornt of NPCs or non group mates. Dont show off in the middle of Coronet or the Dant MO, dont heal strangers, keep it to your self.

>>

Well in that case, all a Jedi has to do is to apply for a job at KFC, Mac Donald or Taco Bell, cos killing beasts and dealing meat is the only issue for Jedi in hiding atm.

I suggest we all jedi group with rangers for maximum income on meat sales.

Brilliant idea. I guess many BHs took the economic course in college.

Also, the excuses that Jedi use to run away from bounty hunters are the EXACT reasons why bounty hunters have no problem DB'ing a Jedi who was incapped by a piket, or jumping a Jedi when they are attacking a lair, ... because most are no-skill-having newbs who would run at the first opportunity they have. So the best way to complete a mission is to strike Jedi in these underhanded scenarios.

It's a no-win situation for bounty hunters. If a bounty hunter waits for the Jedi to get ready for a fight, the Jedi force runs out of there and doesn't fight. If a bounty hunter doesn't wait for the Jedi to get ready for a fight and jumps the Jedi when he is attacking a lair, the bounty hunter gets called all sorts of obscene names saying he's a cheater or dishonorable.

There is nothing a Jedi wouldn't do to lie, cheat or steal. It's the reason I hunt the lot of them.

FYI, I've never fled a fight. Not even when I was a level-53 paddie at the low point of my combat-level bell curve between my old skill base and my Jedi skills. So I know there's at least one exception to your hasty generalization.

You must have been doing something wrong then, cuz I never dropped below level 69 doing my grind.

I never had anything but lvl 80!

But then in the main, my grind was pre CU

Honestly I don't know why the BH's do it. The payouts aren't enough to cover the expense of facing 1 full temp Jedi.

I guess it's just a matter of giving them something to do. But yeah, there's 0 incentive to stay and fight. and if your less than a full template, you'll just lose anyway, so better to run, hide. and stay alive.

Legalised Griefing plain and simple, thats why they do it and i'm on about the ones who win then start all that l33t speak crap, those morons need to be neutered, bad enough having burberry wearing chavs in RL, don't need the little gits in game too. There are plenty of decent BH who incap a Jedi and say "good fight" and don't DB and before some halfwit goes "aww did a BH kill you" the answer is no, no BH has yet. The system was used to keep the jedi pop low, it failed, time to get rid of it.

you are the moron. It is not legalised grisfing at all. Jedi was set up as a pvp prof, ment to be hard to play and seen as the end game for elite players so want something driffrent like a tough grind with the risk of outside attack and something to really lose other than a little decay on there gear.

The trouble is jedi has become easy allowing carebears to get into a pvp prof then whine and complain that thay should be left be. You knew you would get hunted but still went for jedi, Why? because you thought you would become uber and distroy anything in your path.

If you dont want to pvp but still want jedi then go play KOTOR

"you are the moron"

can we use our own brain just for 1 sec and stop with the bounty hunter creed

Well, there's no such thing as "right" or "wrong" ways to build a toon. I happen to be someone who likes to explore all the options, and my CL drop reflected that. I willingly spread my toon's initial Jedi development across several trees in order to figure out which skills I liked best, and then focused my build from there. It was a calculated move, and I avoided visibility while I was low-level.
