If you have JIA but you also have TIA, I know they don't stack, but does only the higher one take effect?

It is the equivalent of having 6000 armor vs. everything. Pretty nice for those of us who aren't filthy rich and can't buy suits of ADKed armor, considering it never decays and all that. If you try to go with regular armor, and don't have a lot of cash to throw away on buying new suits of armor,youmay have a tough go of it as a melee profession.

So basically, I shouldtough it out and it'll get better?

At master level, TKIA is as good as the best suit of armour you'd ever be likely to tank with. The advantage crafted armour has is that it can be optimised for certain protection types, but unless you're okay with dropping over a million credits on a suit of armour layered for kinetic defense just for pve tanking, then no, you shouldn't bother with armour. If you think you're taking too much damage, it's probably because you're not using CoB. Make yourself a looping macro to keep it going, it pretty much halves the damage you take.

Just give Jedi innate armor in Lightsaber like the way it used to be. Without FA you're a meatshield. And that wouldn't be so bad if it was just all about PVE or PVP because you knew what you were getting yourself into.

But for the BH with Armor with high resists and sliced for armor break, and capped damage and sac weapons with dots even, it's a real hassle, and requires the need to run at times. If you supply Innate armor in the lightsaber tree, the damage recieved wouldn't be so bad. This isn't melee or ranged defense, just innate armor. The Defender treee won't suffer from it.

thats 2k resists, thats hardly anything. And for those people who DONT want to go Master Defender, you dont have very high defense. You shouldnt HAVE to go MDef to get defense. All profs should get some amount of innate armor.

Maybe you should do alittle reseach. If you just get 0040 def with 0400 enh thats plenty of def and if you get 0044 def with 0400 enh that pretty much just as good as mdef. If you dont know what skills im talking about you should do more reading and less posting.

x/x/4/x defender grants 8 or 12 innate armor, cant remember which. 1200 + 2000=3200. Add +4000 from Force Armor and you have 7200, which is 1000 points under recon armor. Force Armor is also a force hog, so you wont keep it up the entire fight.

i have just those, and its also 56 skillpoints spent to get armor and aura, most other proffessions get armor with the mastery ofa proffession and have the option to pick up cob, and lets not forget 6500/6500 75% armor break sliced armor doesnt drain force when hit.
