Thread: Surviving the Bounty Hunter: A guide to success UPDATED!
Nice Guide! I agree with many of the points. However I feel thatrepeating combat macros do not have a place in PvP. Especially when you are whacking away at someone, and may actually override the macro'd command while you are attacking. That means that infusion and aura may not get reactived when needed.
My suggestion is for all Jedi to do it manually. That way you have control.
When fighting CM's, often times the mind pool is what determines the outcome. If there's goes down first you win or vice versa. Because of this an Infusion macro can be deadly to yourself! Although most times it is best to have infusion always running, it may not be when fighting a CM and your mind is already getting low.
Stim D's with at least 1100 healing power aregreatfor fighting CM builds. Not only do they conserve force, but they also conserve your mind! Use them as often as you can.
Aura may not always need to be reactivated either. The thing with CM builds is that you have to do as much damage as quickly as possible. Keep them having to heal themselves. This not only drains their mind, but it will also greatly reduce their damage output since they have to wait on cool downs for their next attack. If you keep activating aura when you really don't need to, you are wasting force and lowering your damage output.
Knock Down as often as possible, as this takes a large hit to their action pool and keeps them from exploiting firing adv crit shot every second since they simply wont have the action for it. Even if they are not using the cool-down bug it is still always a good idea to KD them and make them use KD recovery to lower their action pool.
Force Sap seems to work very well against this build since it lowers their regen rate on action and mind.
If you want to be reminded of when your infusion or aura macros end, use something similar to these macros:
/forceaura;
/pause 47.5;
/tell self AURA;
- and -
/forceinfusion self;
/pause 51;
/tell self INFUSION;
A GREAT guide Yoiaholic1. It will undoubtably save the lives of many Jedi.
Simple, park your Jedi and play your BH and run NPC missions.
lol
Does anyone know if force speed (or any food buffs for that matter) still partially counters Thyroid Rupture?
The way I understand the changes in Pub 24 (i hoope im wrong) force spd or any other food buff would be removed by the debuff??
