The need for balance amonst jedi and bh and all professions for that matter is a direct result of the requiremnt of pvp in this game especially for jedi as it is currently. To keep this game fresh and exciting we need un-balance and we need to move away from the pvp requirement. PvP should be for those that enjoy some friendly compitition. as ive said Do we really want this game to become an online version of Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat with a GWC Star Wars twist? Well honestly do we?

Please explain your "unbalance" theory.

I actually agree with this on a certain level. Pre-CU there was a lot of "unbalance", but it also made for dynamic gameplay. I personally would have been happy with the old system, if they's just have eliminated the grossly overpowered DOT loot weapons, and tomed down CM's. Sure there were exploits, but there was also variation.

Post-CU everyone is pretty much the same. Rifles do1k+ dmg every 2.5 sec. , Pistols 7-800Dmg every 1.8 sec, VK's 3-400 every 1.2, etc. And then all the professions basically have the same attacks. A Power hit, A KD, A root, or snare, etc. Sure, there are variations, but a dual mastery template of one flavor, is nearly identical in attack specials toany other Dual Mastery combat template.

And you know what?

It's BORING!

Really boring, kinda like he said, playing Mortal Kombat online.

When I started playing it would take 5 BH to kill a full template. So why not write. For everyone who didn't know you were going to stink as a Jedi sign here. Idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ummm It was a sarcastic question.I'll accept your appology at you convenience.

I wouldn't hold your breath on that one, you might turn BLUE.

Manners are not common form on these forums.

For that matter, either is logic, reasoning, common sense, critial thinking, reading comprehension, basic understanding of English grammar, the ability to use a dictionary........ad infinitum.

sigh

i was a master dancer. i'm now a full template jedi.

i still dont like pvp.

i enjoy my jedi.

i really hate when idiots say "the devs meant for this" or "the devs designed it for that" You're not a dev. Nor does your pre cu saber give you more right to be a jedi and be successful than anyone else. Grow the *#$# up.

it is what it is. Posts like this just generate annoyance and flames as clearly indicated above.

Correction, there is ONE PvP profession....

JEDI

It's been that way since day one.

Please God, don't let the carebears win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

U are wrong, spacejawa is correct. Until they make Jedi perma special forces.

Ok Einstien, we were talking about the fact that when Jedi was designed initially, THEY WERE PERMA OVERT.

The only thing that could stop them from being perma-overt, was NEVER USING A SABER OR ANY FORCE POWER.

If that wasn't designed to be full on PvP, what was it?

Go check your facts, and come back and talk to me, when you know what you're talking about it.

Pffftt.

Please... don't use names if you can't or don't know how to spell them correctly.

These carebears are embarrassing. They are the laughing stock of all SWG.

Its worse when they try to use roleplay as an excuse, a BH would be a roleplayers dream, thats whats its all about, you are hated, you are an outlaw, if you were a real roleplayer people wouldnt even know you were a jedi.

Read other combat profession forums much? Jedi have been THE embarrasment of SWGfor long, long time.

Calling people noobs, ebayers, carebears, etc is what Jedi are known for, it's what they do - act like jacka$$es.

Argue with the above all you want, step outside this forum, and ask in another, you'll see.

Oh, and before you call me a noob, BH, or carebear, I'm jedi and PVP is what I plan to do.

A jedi must PVE extensively to level up to PVP so both sides of the fence must be staddled. Until like last July when visibility in grouping was turned off, any attempt to learn to pvp with yourJedi character ended up in getting massive visibility. Until May 05, 2005 folks that became jedi could, effectively mind you, go solo and build up their Jedi template. As PVE and PVP are quite different there is bound to be a learning curve.

How can you say you've lived life if you've never danced?
Well I do remember Han having a one piece suit made out of carbonite but it weighed a ton. Still it didnt require any ironing and was very wear resistant.
Thanks SOE! The CU and NGE gave me my life back. Thanks! Bitterness is the taste of love lost, a tear of acid that burns the heart.
Long gone, in sorrow of song. Stand I make to deliver hope with twisted temporal past, for the ripples in time distort what affects when. Prowlies a must see Clicky!
As a dreamer I sing to the sea and imagine the possibilities and potential this game could free, but when I get home a sad sight there be. A lost fool, for once was is gone, what could've been to never be, and the angel of my heart to be forgotten, locked away by the key of SOE.

Personnaly, I never entered the Jedi boards before unlocking my Jedi. I wanted to experience this for myself and discover it all. I am also guildless, by choice. So as dumb as it might sound to many, I didn't have any clue about how the BH/Jedi relationship was so tense and about the hate the Jedi profession generated as a whole (I guess devs should add a BIG taunt bonus to us while fighting mobs). My first reference being Georges Lucas movies I can say, with no shame,I didn't anticipate such a thing.

Aglardae

I can truely say i didnt anticipate this either. This is out of control!

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.

If you are a RETARD you may not have known you would have to fight a BH.

If you have been in this game long enough to unlock a jedi you know what it means. If PvP isnt your thing, be a master dancer.
