Mindspat, what you aren't getting here is it's not a random target. It apparently never actually changed from the old system other than putting the information in different spot in a different way.
The current system allows even easier ganking than the old one since they don't even have to open the mission. SOE fixed a bug by making a much worse one. What else is new?
Trust me, I hear what you're saying and I understand how this works.
Can anyone answer this: Are Bounthunters capable of pulling a specific Jedi who they just seen run by them or are they capable of picking a Jedi who's skill level is below par, i.e. unfinished template?
If this is capable then there is a problem.
If it is only allowing for Bounthunters to pull $36,235, whereas 36235 is attached to a specific Jedi's name thus ALWAYS yielding the SAME Jedi it is also a problem. I can see how a codex could have been created to clear names although once the codex is identified for each player Jedi the problem will get worse.
Is this what is happening?
If the missions are based upon a static codex without varriance it desperatly needs to get fixed.
In answer to your question, if the BH has had that Jedi's mission before, and has his mission details screenshot/printed as many BH'ersI know do, then yes, once he see's the Jedi, he CAN look thru his detail lists, find the one for that jedi, go to the terms and grab the mission again.
let's say a BH got my mission last week, and when he got my details, they read as follows:
Rebel Jedi
34567 credits
description: LASSIE STRIKES BACK!
this jedi kicked my nephew's neighbor's best friend's sister's ex-boyfriend's dog. This Jedi must die for this dispicable act of violence!!!!
so he prints it out, finds me, and can now write my name to that description and set it aside, when he finds me out and about later, he can get that printout again, go to the terms, and look for the same exact mission, knowing it will be mine.

Why I have not wanted to hunt Jedi, not why I would want BH, wanted to hunt other "normal" players not Jedi. Something I wish the Developers would look more into.

Isn't it possible to put your BH friends on duel status while he attacks the jedi and use AOE attacks to get the Jedi aggro'd towards you?

don't know if this has been said (too lazy to read 73 posts) but the way they're doing this is your mission has an identical payout, faction, and story...so chances are if they get 3 missions on an imp jedi for instance with same payout on each they'll have the same jedi.

the intention of the BH/jedi tef is to insure a 1 on 1 fight (since BH cried so much for this system to be in place so jedi couldnt get outside help)....now BH are using some method to all get the same jedi mission and by-pass the intended 1 on 1 fight.
does this sound like an exploit? make up your mind and let soe know how you feel (like it matters)

If you win your bounty amount doesn't change. Therefore he can go back and get the mission of the same amount over and over and over again. Also he and a friend or 2 can take the same mission for the same amount and it will be you. The rocket scientists of SOE decided that hiding you would be as easy as making an obscure $$ amount. Brain surgeons that they are, they forgot that once the mission is taken it should be recycled.
