Thread: FS Boxes = Profession Mastery, Jedi XP should NOT apply to FS boxes

Aside from everything else we've mentioned regarding the flawed logic of current Jedi boxes being used to populate new FS boxes, it just dawned on me that:

Initiate 0000 will be "gifted" the FS boxes for have nothing to put in them, but needing to be past them to technically make the conversion.

Guardian 4444 will be "gifted" not having to re-work any of their Jedi XP boxes like sub-Guardian 4444

So, anyone who is1 boxes into Initiate up to 1 box short of Guardian 4444 will get penalized by this conversion unless they add the necessary skill points and xp to us in the conversion to fill in those FS boxes.

THAT represents the majority of the current Jedi community. I have to have faith that Arjun and these posts will make positive contact with TH and the devs to make this situation right.

I sincerely hope that the reports coming from test centre are not what goes live.

It's not like the FS tree's even benefit us right? I mean, isn't it true that the crafting/experimentation line doesn't even work with crafting our LightSabers? I sure as hell didn't get the extra 2 skill points. Oh wow, I can stop a speederbike on a dime, whoop-dee-doo. I think the FS line was intended to make the average player a bit better in what he does as a non Jedi. At least I hope this is what the DEV's intend. If the FS skill line is a prerequesite and eats 24 of my points then that might just be my last straw. I'm very close to burning out as it is and having to re-earn anything that I have already earned Isn't going to happen. SOE will decide for themselves if they want to purchase my 24 skill points from me at the price of $45 a month(cost of 3 accounts). Guess we will just have to wait and see.

as a side note what happens to our mains in either pub10. arent the quests only for those that have not unlocked? do our mains get free reign to choose from these boxes if we already have jedi? these 24 boxes would be much better suited for them than our jedi.

quote from jedi archives II:

Players will have to complete a series of quests in order to enable their Force Sensitive Skills. These quests are for anyone who has not yet completed the existing Jedi path, regardless of how many professions they have mastered. These quests represent Jedi Revamp Part 2: The Jedi Trials which will be live in Publish 10.

i'd rather have my main use these skills and have their padawan trials locked then waste 24 barely usable points on my jedi.

not to seem dense but does this mean we DONT have to use those 24 points on fs boxes?

I'm guessing we will have to train them and use skill points, but our XP allocation/conversion won't hit until the padawan+ boxes.

Reason I say that is the Publish 10+ unlockers will be training them, and using skill points, so it makes sense we would too.

Well, look at it this way, with the FS skills that you have to take, you get +12 melee speed, +12 melee accuracy, +20 melee defense, +20 ranged defense, +20 weapon experimentation (which they really need to have effect lightsabers), and +4 Jedi's luck (you know you want that tree )
