The possible stats that a pearl can give you are the same, regardless of the pearl quality. The only advantage a "premium" pearl gives you is a better chance of getting higher stats. "Fixing pearls" would be a matter of changing the level ranges for different quality pearls. This would be a retroactive change which would suddenly change all the pearls in the game to be high-level pearls, increasing the power of Jedi globally and almost instantly - Unless we simultaneously lowered the advantage of premium pearls so that they don't give as much an increase to the odds of getting higher stats as they do now.

We would rather keep the premium pearls as they are - highly desirable and much better (in terms of the odds of getting higher stats) than normal pearls, but not drop them as casually as they dropped in the past. These should be rare, elite quest rewards and very high-end, elite-monster drops - not things that players "farm" from creatures that are no match for the player.

So basically :
"If you didn't farm Krayt Dragons pre-cu, sorry, you get the shaft"

Thanks Tiggs.

I think its us older Jedi Reward at this point lol.

Tiggs, I agree will all you've said. What you haven't said is that they will be dropping.

This is so simple. We really don't care if the Ancient Krayt has to be level 500 with 4 groups of 8 fighting them to have a chance. Turn the premium drops on please. If you must raise the dragons to level 287 again, good!

P.S. I'd really like to see the quotes the devs used from this forum stating dragons were too hard, as their basis for lowering the CL. I'm pretty active on the forums and I've never once seen a comment close to that.

P.P.S. The stats you published through the previous Jedi correspondent stated different (from your comments I highlighted in red). There was a distinct cap on every level of pearl. Are you now stating that information is no longer valid?

So would it be possible to change the loot tables so that they are a very rare krayt drop, perhaps 1 in 1000. Like the ducted fan for a jetpack.

Often enough that it is attainable, but rare enough that you couldn't camp all day and be guaranteed to get one...

ok, well why not drop them from ancients? they're what you describe as "very high-end elite-monsters". Only Dark Jedi Masters are higher cl if you dont count the absurd cl 500 sentinals. How hard would it be to have Ancients drop only premiums and flawless? Change the loot tables so that no matter what cl the Ancient is (94) it will always have a chance of dropping premium or flawless. It is YOUR FAULT that they are easy to kill. Turn on AI so that they don't follow your exact footsteps. That way you can't run rings around them and never get hit. Krayt Dragon Ancients SHOULD be the very high end elite monsters. Increase their cl if you must, but let premiums drop from them. What else in the lore is harder to kill then a krayt? And we're talking about the HARDEST of HARD krayts. It only makes sense that the ancient drops premium and flawless pearls.

This is horrible. I mean i have spent hundreds of millions of creds gettin premium pearls and still only have a decent saber. Now the newer jedi are gettin beat down harder. I was lucky cuz i had some extra creds laying around but this is bad a lot of newer jedi without the credits are going to be having a lot of trouble. Why dont you just raise the lvl of krayts so they can again drop premium pearls and an average player cant solo? just an idea cuz i think premiums need to be droppig as soon as possible cuz 50m for a premium is out of hand

How about let Jedi create a "farm" where we can grow premium pearls. Allow us to also have multi-passenger tractors so we can harvest these pearls.

Also, allow us to have farmer's markets on saturdays where we can sell our wares.

/agree with tiggs

i've had guilds get 118 -9s from good pearls... the system is fine.

all these new jedi want an uber saber without working for it.

older jedi had to solo grind for months to finish our templates, not to mention all the tk/bhs were ALOT harder to beat than the post CU bhs

todays jedi get to group grind, and not get vis from it and get exp wayyyyyy faster cuz stuff dies faster and you still get full exp.

so it seems liek a fair trade, we got a harder grind + premiums, they get an easy grind + goods.

ps

premiums/flawless still tuned for crap most the time also lol
