I am uncertain on this, but the damage reduction seems so minor, however the graphics sometimes makes it look like an attack will be canceled in order to deflect. I do not know if it actually does or not, I have never been able to confirm it. But I've never complained about valor except the fact it can't be toggled on like force run. I'd prefer to have aura and valor operate like force run rather that a timer.
