us combat medics have no weapon profession enhancements. (IE: Master Rifleman or pisoleer with + Accuracy, speed, etc) Leave our medic skills alone please.

Just had my first real fight with a really good CM. There was no way I was winning that one. He healed too well, had 330 fire tick, 330 poison tick, rupture, drain, and some other crap all going on me.

Only reason he didn't kill me was cause i ran. 3 times. We had 3 or 4 full fights both starting off full and with plenty of foods and going at it, then breaking cause i ran cause i was out of or almost out of force, and then fighting again.

I've been fully temped since right before the CU and pvp every chance I get. I know the foods, I know my template.

This guy was so Arrogant / confidentthat he didn't even run or try to put distance between us. Just stood there in his 8100 Energy resist, AB sliced armor and shot me with a rifle.

He could definitely out heal me, and I would have been in the hurt box big time if I didn't have Stasis and FR3. My saber is 330 unmodded DPS and 600 modded DPSwith 14 FC. Not the greatest, but hell I couldn't hit him for over 400 points of damage on the high end! mostly 300-350 points. . . .

The bottom line is that Jedi, as a group, are under powered. A profession that takes an average of a year or more to become a novice and master should be more powerful than any other character template. There should be advantages and disadvantages to certain templates, but one on one Jedi should be able to defeat any other combat character template.

I actually think that this is more of an issues of Jedi being underpowered than other professions being overpowered. Electrolyte drain, however, should have its power reduced to 25%, the same as a doctor's speed buff since those two professions are meant to be a counter balance of each other. For all the other stuff, force cost for everything needs to be reduced, jedi need to be given greater defensive capabilities overall, and worthless trees in all the jedi profs need to be revamped, because as it stands now jedi is not worth the time and effort it takes to master.

I think you mean thyroid rupture. ED is a snare.

It's interesting how when one ability's power is called into question, the returning argument is always about some other skill. Try to stay on topic. This is a thread about Electrolyte Drain. Saying cloak is too powerful doesn't prove that Electrolyte Drain is not too powerful. We should only be hearing arguments for and against ED being overpowered. If you think cloak is overpowered, then make a thread about it. It's pathetic how people get so defensive and start calling for nerfs on the other guy just because he questions the balance ofone of their abilities.

what if everytime an MBH/MCM kills a jedi they apologize for the DB?

would that settle the jerf issue lol

how about a hug, maybe?...

or a polite hand shake after perhaps, we (MCMs)are generally upstanding citizens, even our boards and threads are ordely and polite (untill they get hyjacked by the occsaionalvisiting glowstick waver)

/reads the forum title

How ironic you choose to say this when you came to this forum, the Jedi forum. I say this in relation to the loaded questions we (as in us combat medics i refered to in that same sentence) receive from a few cocky jedi who troll the CMforums (no i'm little better, i know).

First the term "jerf," or whatever some of you keep saying is nothing short of a flammatory remark.Throwing insults toward Jedi in the Jedi forum and not expecting to get flamed is ignorance at its finest. this is a problem, but also not one the jedi forums or 'jedi posters' are exempt from either

Second the excuse that MCM has to be within a 10m range to apply their debuffs/states makes no sense to me in relation to Jedi. As a Jedi, I have to be within 5m to use 90%attacks with my saber (with the exception ofthe relatively low damage saber throw). What happens when a Jedi gets that close? Paralyzed, debuffed, stated, then rooted/snared. This process can be repeated indefinitely for the duration of the fight. Since debuffs aren't considered states, and even worse our state defenses don't work properly, there is effectivly no defense orreal counter to them.inproved saber throw is actually one of jedi's hardest hitting attacks - the same if not more damage than head or leg hit. the alternative populartemplate for fighting jedi is MBH/ MRM - they never come closer than 60-80m when they can help it. jedi can't even saber throw that far! 10m for paralyze is almost sitting in your lap. CM dont' really 'state' in terms of dizzy, etc, but fire/ poison can be cured by medic or enhancer and even foods. force run 1 isn't effected in anyway by electo drain, when you're paralyzed we can do no damage to you. and, despite it being -40 speed it lasts only 2 min (how long does force speed last? or doctor buffs) and with MLS, Force speed and some tapes how much difference does it make (or should it if saber speed worked correctly - personally this is the real problem not thyroid rupture)

For the record, I don't want CM to be nerfed. What I would prefer is to have a chance to counter these measures. Have defenders less succeptible to states/debuffs. Have healers/doctors be able to equalize those states/debuffs. Have enhancers be able to break roots/snares at the significant cost to action and force. Give the professions the tools to combat each other equally but at a cost to each in their own way. I don't want lop-sided victories for my profession. I want a 50/50 shot of winning if I play my template to its upmost potential against an equal enemy. And I want the same for my combatant. kinda covered this once, but for clarification - poison can be cured, fire can be extingushed, snares can be sidesteped & speed de-buffs can be reduced greatly in effect if saber speed works correctly

Dumbing down the successful professions is ruining this game. The CU was meant toalleviate that problem, and it hasn't. Stop thinking in terms of how to lessen the effectiveness of other professions, and how we can improve our own. best way, make sure all counters actually work correctly and then give people the choice in what they want to do - cure poisons and fire or have an uber jedi pvp tempalte, healer etc.

Positivity, I know its a strange and new concept but try it, you might like it. can't agree more, its sadly rare to hear a posititve voice on this forum at the moment
