Thats the point. These Jedi who vote no are hanging onto a Jedi that is gimped and will continue to get gimped. Its also the same reason why we are stilling paying for this game. The game is completely broken yet we continue to pay for it. Why? Because of the time invested. SOE knows this and is currently using it to their advantage. Myself included BTW.

Im not flaming the people who are saying "No"its your choice of course.

yes i would, i hink the game sucks now in its prsent post cu form, it will continue to suck in the post cu form no mattar how many expansions/publishes you throw out there nerfing jedi.

the game and the pre 9 jedi i played are gone, this joke called swg cu is full of bugs, jedi are weak, and all the bugs jedi have are not being fixed. the powers they do have that do work are slowly being taken away. jedi have many skills that dont work, and thats the ones that they ultimately will be left with.

what other professions self sare themselves when using a skill?

the devs are idiots, eq sucks, and so does swg.

meanwhile over at WOW im playing bugfree, and have started meeting many old pre cu players.

I can safely say that not only am I a pre -9 Jedi and would do this, but I would wish the game would go back to that timeframe and look.

The CU is a wreck and they know it.

I have guys with giant Hammers killing guys with Lightsabers and are masters with it. Yeah, this makes sense lol.

Id give it up, but would want the whole game to back to about patch 6 or so.

This is exactly what is wrong with Jedi.Jedi were special when they were rare, now everyone is a Jedi and Jedi are no longer special.

It is the rare part that is impossible to have in an MMO with an Iconic profession that thousands of players want to play. Non existant was the only option to keep the Jedi from becoming what they have become.

Jedi caps per server. If you are willing to play a game without Jedi, why cant people accept that they will never become Jedi?

To fully enforce this rule though you would have to put a DEAD STOP to Ebay. I mean dead stop. If you change your CC# on the account you will be flagged and your account will be suspended until you call into support and resolve the issue. ect ect...

Another reason why we have so many Jedi is because no Jedi account ever leaves the game. They just get Ebay and passed down to the next guy.

Plenty of them got banned

I am willing to accept none because of the timeline but if you can have one and I can't that is where the issue starts.

I agree with the issue. But if people know this when they sign up there shouldnt be an issue.

When I first started playing SWG way back when there was no guarantee I would get Jedi. When Jedi started to unlock and I wasnt one of them (Before I even knew about the profession unlocking system) I was jealous as hell, but it also made me play alot harder thinking one day.... one day..... Maybe it will happen to me.

Its like the lotto. You can play your whole life and never win, yet you will still play your whole life just for the chance of winning.

Which is exactly why Jedi have been nerfed down to a normal profession. They are making room for the new alpha class. This is only a theory, but it makes sense to me. Most of the subscriber base has/wants Jedi. Therefore make it possible for anyone to get a glowstick with some extra effort. But they will not be any stronger than any other mundane profession. There can be tons of these characters without unbalancing the game (although they will be sacrificing continuity to keep subscribership up. After all, that is what's important, eh?)

But to truly have an alpha class, it must by definition be rare, hard to get, and easy to lose. This is where the FRS comes back into play. I'm really looking forward to it, personally

Look I'm all for making it more difficult to get to the village and perhaps even more difficult to get through it but I am not for a cap system or for someone invalidating all the work I did for the promise that it won't all happen again.

Making it more difficult wont change the current situation of to many Jedi in the game. It will just prolong new Jedi from entering the game.

If you are going to do to one you must do to all.

Look at the XP nerf? Full template Jedi said "Yeah, Nerf it" Non Jedi said "I quit if you keep this change in place"

Only if I got a years free game play and endless credits, for all the time and effort, I have put in sinceI did holocrons and village. Problem is not to many jedi problem is soe has no idea what to do with them.

Heres a question how many of you would like the to see then time line changed, to after episode 6, then the content could be more open and not restrained by the lore of the period we are playing in...

NO!

I and the other's who pay there 15 bucks a month make this game. Those millions of dollars a month should be able to come up with a better way then having to give up something other's and myself have spent most of our free time acheiving since we started playing this game!

In my humble opinion anyway.
