Thread: Would you give up your Jedi for the sake of the game? Results: 66 NO 40 YES
I'll give another response. All of us who are Jedi have given up a lot of that which is Jedi already. The devs are doing this on purpose, and I agree with what I think they are doing.
They can't have an alpha class ruling the game, so they have to limit it. Otherwise, like it says in "The Incredibles", when everybody is special, nobody is. If everyone becomes Jedi, there is no more alpha class. There are just clones running around, equal in every way.
The FRS will be the return of the alpha class. They will be uber and small in numbers. And very likely difflcult to achieve. But the only way that would be feasible is to take power away from the padawans and move that power into the Knight boxes and above.
So I think what you are proposing is already being implemented, just in a way that doesn't delete all the other people's Jedi.
If the hypothetical assumes that:
1. Jedi will remain both rare and powerful
2. The game would not collapse as a result of the decision
3. That the developers will be able to make great improvements in the other elder games within SWG.

This is exactly what is wrong with Jedi.Jedi were special when they were rare, now everyone is a Jedi and Jedi are no longer special.

It is the rare part that is impossible to have in an MMO with an Iconic profession that thousands of players want to play. Non existant was the only option to keep the Jedi from becoming what they have become.
*no* fromlaunch i wanted jedi and grinded it out and im sure that all most 90% of people who get SWG have that goal in mind as well. The fact that it's just a game seems to elude folks 1 jedi or 25000 it makes no difference to me and-in no way does jedi numbers hurt my gameplay and as for changes and nerfs bring it on i wanted a jedi ill take what comes my way for having one.

Jedi caps per server. If you are willing to play a game without Jedi, why cant people accept that they will never become Jedi?
To fully enforce this rule though you would have to put a DEAD STOP to Ebay. I mean dead stop. If you change your CC# on the account you will be flagged and your account will be suspended until you call into support and resolve the issue. ect ect...
Another reason why we have so many Jedi is because no Jedi account ever leaves the game. They just get Ebay and passed down to the next guy.

Plenty of them got banned
I am willing to accept none because of the timeline but if you can have one and I can't that is where the issue starts.
