I stopped reading about 3/4 of the way down the first page..and to the original poster out there...your right. Plain and simple SOE would never listen to its player base and bring back Pre-CU which I saw someone said it mentioned skill? Hell no it didn't you idiot it involved having the best possible resist armor and weapons. Hardly any skill is used in PvP in either systems because we don't go off of a skill based system so get over yourself you Pre-CU b!tches. And before you decide to mention it I've been playing almost for 2 years now so I've seen the Pre-CU days and all the bogus crap that was around. I love Post-CU because it involves grouping and actually getting to know people. Don't say Post-CU Jedi have it easier either..I had my Jedi a year ago and I was never on the terms UNLESS I WANTED TO BE because I would just go get 3.3k buffs and run somewhere by my lonesome self and just kill things...how boring. At least in the CU I have to group up with people and go "spin" stuff with them..but it makes for interesting conversations and I've made at least 150 more friends thanks to that.

I want all of this hate to stop between both sides because:

A. THERE WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER BE A PRE-CU SERVER NOR WILL THEY REVERT IT BACK SO GET OVER YOURSELVES AND JUST PLAY THE GAME.

B. Both systems have ups and downs to it honestly..and I have to like the CU better but my opinion matters not to you "I'MMA UBAR OLD VET SO I'M BETTER THAN JOO WILL EVER BEE" people out there so I won't even bother

C. I REALLY REALLY REALLY cannot stand all these "stop the whining about" or "WHINE ABOUT OUR TERRIBLE SABERS" posts and I see these mostly from Post-CU people...just stop because things are the way they are and thats the way they are gonna stay. People whine and people moan,you can't stop it. Just ignore them..when they stop getting any attention maybe they will log off their comp and go whine to their parents (get my reference to you guys sounding like 2 year olds fighting over some stupid toy?) I mean come on..act like adults and if your not smart enough to figure out SOE just wants our money then you just need to keep playing to NOT HAVE FUN and give them your $15, 30, or 45 a month to play something you can't stand and refuse to like just because you think Pre-CU was so much better.

Can't we all just stop the whining and the "I'm so much better: attitude and just play the game and like it for what it is and get ALONG???

The old days are just that, OLD DAYS! There is a new system now so get used to it! And as far as you old jedi's that think that you should be the only jedi on the servers need to shut the hell up. You cant be to concerned with BH'ers anyway, 9 times our of 10 the jedi always wins! The few BH'ers that do actually manage to kill a jedi are pre-CU chars with pre-CU weapons that have a great advantage over the weapons we can make at this time. I am a MBH myself and have tried 3 times to hunt a jedi with the same results. I care not to hear about how many jedi you've killed as I have killed none. All it takes is a stasis root and you cant do squat while the jedi pummels you into the ground. Usually the jedi will run away at this point. Is this a complaint? Nope. A BH should have to be good to take a Jedi down solo. This is why the Jedi profession is slowly being nerfed to death because BH'ers complain they can never kill a Jedi. Hell, thats why SOE made the new BH npc loot revamp, cause they know you aren't supposed to be able to 1 on 1 a jedi.

Personally I don't care how the old days were, cause I didn't play back then. I play now. Stop living in the past and being so high and mighty on your pre-CU horse. If you dont like the way the game is, stop playing. I'll be glad to take your position as a # on your jedi list. There aren't too many jedi on servers so shut up already!

   It's Jedi not "jedi" - And while we're on that point.. There's no such thing as a jedis, jedi's or any other plural you might want to come up with. Eg;
   "There is one Jedi" - "There are two Jedi" - "There are three Jedi over there"

   In the old days, Jedi was a RARE - Well-respected profession. When I used to PvP, there would only be one or two Jedi in the entire night of PvP.

The only way to balance this game if for the dev's to take the Jedi, decide what they want the jedi to be then to balance the rest of the classes to the Jedi.

the problem as i see it,the old jedi got a slap in the face for using long time to grind theire jedi 5-7 months with HEAVY grinding and now people can grind from paddy to full temp in 1-2 weeks+ when you see what we once had its hard to accept what we become.

And to tell you the truth i dont even think the dev's did know or do know how they wantjedi...

Why is it that every time someone missies out on a way to gain xp or advance faster in the game they come on the boards crying cheat?

Fight clubbbing was not described to be a exploit until people started crying cheat. Then the people who were told it wasnt a problem got the ban bat swung on them.

Nade grinding wasnt considered a exploit but a faster way to grind.

Double xp was established for a reason and respecs were placed for a reason. The game was totally changed and people were given the oppurtunity to change templates to adjust to the new style. If the newer jedi used these to advance then so what, theyre punishment is crappy sabers and daily visits by bh's, oh well get over it.

It seems that the only people that whine about these things are the ones who missed out, heres a idea try learning the game and playing it to your advantage instead of trying to flame people who were smarter than you to use the game mechanics the way they were designed.

Do the math. 1 million SWG copies sold, and only 200,000 subscribers exist. Thats 800,000 gone.. about 15-20,000 people signed the anti-CU petition and a vast majority doesn't even know the petition exists and would undoubtedly sign it also.

The CU sucks. I got used to it and I "learned" how to play it (if you consider playing Fisher Price toys having learning curves), but it still sucks. Many months into the CU, and I don't see any indication of people SOE promised will start liking the CU when they grow accustomed to it.

Think about it also. You're tired of seeing anti-CU post? Has it occured to you that maybe there are so many anti-CU posts because most people don't LIKE the CU?

We'll continue to post until SOE wises up and listen to their playerbase.

Thunderheart recently told Isselle, the SWG Stratics.com Editing Manager, that he admits that he misses pre-CU also, but it's impossible to maintain and upkeep both pre-CU and post-CU servers at the same time. Lets keep pushing him to chose pre-CU!

I wish they would consider sending all the players who are slowly, but surely leaving, an e-mail, when they finally decide to admit that the CU is junk, and put the game back together, so we might consider coming back.

We all know they slapped this sloppy, broken code, imported from EQ2 in, becuase the roginal Devs jumped ship when they realized that they were going to have to put thier professional reputation (in the industry) on the line. THey knew it was impossible to finish what needed to be done to coincide with the realse of EPIII, and SOE slapped this crap together willy nilly at the last minute.

It is truly a disgrace what a joke this game is now, and quite frankly, if this had been the orginal game, I doubt even half as many people would have stuck around for the first year.

I'm sorry, but the CU is garbage, and if Thunderheart is ballsy enough to admit he misses it too, that says alot.

The orginal poster is just another uninformed noob, who is going to get dragged through the dirt by SOE, until he finishes his Jedi, and then he'll be bored to tears like the rest of us.

I don't know what it would take, or if it could ever happen, but imo, the only thing that can save this game now (since SO MANY PEOPLE ARE JUST PLAIN BORED), is to return it to the Pre-CU gameplay.

Oh, did I mention the CU gameplay is boring?

Anyway, someone crying, about other people crying, is just typical of this forum.

I'd say he has all the makings of a great Jedi.
