Rules of Conduct

1. You may not harass or threaten other players (sexually, racially, or otherwise).

Harassment is defined as any unwanted or unwelcome behavior

8 You may not organize or be a member of any player association or groups within Star Wars Galaxies that is based on or espouses any racist

2. To expound upon the general guidelines, you may not harass other customers.

Harassment is defined as specifically targeting another player or group of players to harm or inconvenience them. Harassment can take many forms, as it goes to the state-of-mind of the person or group of persons on the receiving end of the action

3. You may not disrupt the normal playability of a game world area.

Area Disruption is defined as any activity, intentional or unintentional, which harms or inconveniences a larger number of players.

7. You may not abuse other players, customer service representatives, or the tools provided to request support.

8. "Roleplaying" does not grant license to violate these rules.

By all means we want to encourage you to play your role, we just cannot allow that role-play to be done at another customer's expense.

in my opinion thats exactly why forced pvp between jedi and bounty hunters should just be completely and totally done away with. Leave pvp for those that feel so inclined to get involved in it. It just causes way to much strife and contention and opens way to many avenues for harassement and greifing by both professions.

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.

First off you assume we are all FOTM Jedi. Second off you assume that most Jedi are noobs with no skills.

Now... First thing is first... Your off topic. We are not talking about someone ability to play here, we are talking about CM having the ability to heal 3 times in 6 seconds vs Jedi healing once every 6 seconds.

So back to the point.... as CM's you either support us in getting Jedi Heals Un-Nerfed OR we nerf your profession. Its that simple. Jedi needs healing balance for PvP and PvE. Yes most of us can beat a BH/Cm but thats not the point here. Get on topic please.

First off, the amount of exaggeration on the part of Jedi is outrageous. I just did a test of Bacta Toss and Bacta Toss. There is a 4 SECOND wait in-between those two heals. And those two heals cost roughly 20% of a combat medic's abilities pool -- that's the equivalent of a Jedi having a 1200 fc for each heal.

Regarding Jedi templates, there are clearly some templates that are suited for PvP and others that are not ... Jedi support templates seem to come to mind. You complaining that every single Jedi template is not equal to Jedi templates suited to PvP (theJedi that can mitigate damage so much that the BH is only hitting you for 200 each time while you get to hit him for 500-600 each time) is like a MBH/Squad Leader complaining that he cannot kill a Jedi.

Yes, most Jedi can beat MBH/MCM's, but the ones who can't are either severely outmatched vs. a skilled BH who has much experience in PvP, or the Jedi is a complete 'tard when it comes to PvP. The Devs can balance skill boxes, but what they cannot delegate is talent. A Jedi with the strongest PvP template in the world will always lose vs. a skilled BH if the Jedi is a complete 'tard.

The problem is here

Combat Medic Heals > Jedi Damage

A CM can heal for 2700 in 4 seconds, eating 20% of his abilities pool. In addition there is a 2 second wait after the 2nd heal before the CM can attack again. SO, this means that the CM is vulnerable for 6 seconds ...

In 6 seconds a Jedi can deal 3600 worth of damage on the CM.

A Jedi can heal for 1500 in 6 seconds, eating 2% of his abilities pool ...

In 6 seconds a CM can deal 500 damage on the Jedi (4 shots at 250 damage each, missing 50% of the time).

I disagree. Its much easier to get CM nerfed them Jedi Healer fixed. Im with original poster on this. Nerf CM.
Adapt improve and overcome can and will be said to CM once they get nerfed.
Seriously... imbalanced. One prof gets 3 heals with no timer delays, and another gets 1 with a timer. This game is based on healing.... they need to un-nerf jedi healing or nerf everyother healing prof in-game, that simple.

What a load of crap. In pratical use there are only two heals for CM's: Bacta Toss and Bacta Spray ... anything else is redundant. Also, Jedi don't need to heal as much as a CM because the CM has a much much MUCH lower DPS than Jedi ... i.e, a CM can hit a Jedi for 200 each 1-2 seconds while a Jedi can hit a CM for 500-600 each 1-2 seconds.
Also, a CM/BH's mind regen isn't what these Jedi characterize it to be. If the Jedi deals damage on the BH/CM fast enough he will get stuck in a heal loop and will run out of mind in a couple of minutes.
The real problem is that FotM Jedi like yourselves choose a very top-heavy Jedi template that isn't very well-rounded. You all choose a template that is super super powerful in offense/defense, but only moderately powerful in the healing/enhancing. A Jedi with Force Speed and a good saber will chew up ANY BH and spit him out. A Jedi with Force Speed and Force Sap will wipe the floor with ANY CM/BH.
The real MCM/MBH solution is to fight them with Jedi who know what they're doing. The problem is that there are A LOT of Jedi running around, and thus with any large population of people there is a large amount mediocrity.
The problem is not MCM/BM ... the problem is the large amount of no-skill-having n00b Jedi who think defeating a BH should be about pressing F8 over and over and over and over again and not fight with skill and thought.

I have to agree with OhBuggah on this, he is correct about the "large amount" of Jedi lacking in skill to fight a BH/CM since I meet several everyday, he did not say "most". A Jedi has the damage dealing advantage to a CM but a CM has the ability to "control" you just like a pistoleer or pikeman could and you have to act fast before he gets to fully have you under his or her arms and take the fight to their advantage. Most Jedi do not realize the right tactic against a combat medic.

Also, I forgot to mention ...

Yes, a BH/CM can do 3 heals back to back in 8 seconds. But, I've fought MANY Jedi, and I can tell you this: if you've got the BH hitting just two back to back heals, then that means he's almost dead. No good BH will ever do this when he's winning because just two back to back heals will get you stuck in a heal loop. It's the same for when Jedi hit Avoid Incap. If a Jedi hits Avoid Incap it's almost over for him.
