well the change some times is annoying no doubt. I had 1 trip left to the village right before the exchange rate change on combat xp from 3:1 to 30:1 took effect. When that happened itset me back to 6 more trips before i unlocked using the mbh mrifle template. But it didnt stop me i kept on keeping on and waseven that much more happy when i finallyunlocked. Keep up the good fight (grind), it will eventually happen for you if you really want it no matter the set backs.

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.

Did you have to work hard at getting your wife to love you and marry you, I know I did. According to your logic, a wife should be free if one throws enough money at them. Your logic of getting a free jedi is severly flawed.

If I have to explain to you the difference between, playing a video game and becoming Jedi, and marrying someone, then you really are confused.

Its not all that confusing, both of them include giving up other things you enjoy, your life, and your friends for something that wasnt all that great to begin with. Theyre pretty similar really.

I'm saying that they should stopchanging therules, andgive casual veteran player the chance. Really, you're all makingmejust want toquit this thing altogether.

Read the EULA you agree to everytime you log onto the game. They explain in detail that they can change the game whenever they want.

Sorry, I gotta put my 2 cents in..

I don't think it is a good idea to "grandfather veterans to be jedi". If you do not grind the grind, then accept that you won't be a jedi. I would rant on about all kinds of stuff but it won't help. I just feel that it would not be fair to anyone... the ones that have spent the time to grind and the ones that are working on it now. There would have to be a cut off date for the grandfather option and wouldn't it suck if you missed it by 1 day?

I understand your frustration, but I have to say i agree with those who reply that you pay SOE in order to have the right to play.

Once you have paid You do not pay

You have the oppertunity to do with your character everything that ANYONE else has done with their characters, you just choose not to or you choose to do it at a much slower pace. This is your fault not SOE's.

It's not my fault. I would have been a Jedi already if they hadn't changed the system the first time. Also, guess what? Sony like my money just as much as yours and that's what matters to Sony! If they want a viable game, stuff has to be accessible to more than just the hardcore gamers!

Nothin in this game is all to fair or there would be pre cu servers and i wouldnt have had to grind like all hell to get a jedi pre cu just to have it taken thou to the cu two weeks after unlocking, Its not fair that i spent 3 weeks loot hunting pearls so i could have a good saber and ended up having them disappear out of my saber, and did i get any help here with my missing pre cu pearls...NO so in all fairness get your butt grinding and stop complaining like i had to do so i could have the piece of crap saber with post cu pearls and crystals. Your looking for someone to hold you and give ya a shoulder to cry on go try some back water server or some prof that doesnt have the post like this one. Jedi is earned by grinding not by how many days logged moron

They can make my jedi weaker, but I will be jedi til they take it away..

So you're saying that the money I pay Sony to play this game is not valid at all! It's all on merit? Please guys.

ROFL so basly you say that since you pay sony so much cash you should get a jedi. Think ebay is the spot for you casue what you want is a legit jebay jedi.

I have played this game now since the original launch(and the beta before that). I am not a hardcore player(maybe 3 to 4 hours a week max) and it is not fair to players like myself who pay just as much money as anyone else to play this game that they keep changing thepath to Jedi!First Idid my holos and it took months, then they decided to change it; then after getting 2 force branches I started to grind a ridiculous amount of xp and then guess what!!! THEY CHANGED IT! Now the exchange ratio for fp is even worse! I'm not saying they should let everyone get Jedi but maybe the players who were in it from the beginning, before mounts and vehicles, when you had to run everywhere! Give them 1 force sensitive slot soguys like myselfdon't have to spend another year working towards jedi only to find out they changed it all again!

WHO'S WITH ME?!!!!!!!

i dont even have a jedi, never worked for it, and i started in july/august of 03. anybody to just hand fs accounts out to nobody who wants/ deserved it is stupid...

2 hours a day! Do you people hear youselves? That's at least 14 hours a week, that would be like a whole Saturday to me! I'm sorry I love my wife too much to say "honey, I can't spend time with you, I'm working for Jedi!" I really don't wan to have to say it, but "get a life" does come to mind.

Uhm, Most MMO's basically require you to spend a certain amount of time to attain any elite status or rewards. To just hand out jedi slots to launch vets would be ridiculous, and I have two launch vet accounts. I've got a fulltime and parttime job, 1yr old son anda wife who's expecting another lil bundle of joy in a month or so, and yet I am able to find time to get in about an hour or two on most weeknights, couple more on the weekend, and with a good spin group, cap my xp out in one session. I dont sacrifice time with my family to play, I sacrifice other things (sleep, for example :smileywink.

Seriously, if the time you spend playing MMO's becomes a problem with your family life, or any other RL issue for that matter, just cancel your account and pick up KOTOR or something, and you'll be able to play with your glowbat whenever you please. Jedi should never be something that is just handed to you because you payed for your account since launch.

You cant penalize other players because you took your time to become jedi. thats not fair at all. its not the amount of money, its the time involved in getting it. yeah, i know everyone had different ways of becoming jedi and tbh i am about sick of the complaints of how it was harder back then and so on...it doesnt matter anymore how you got jedi, what matters is that you got it. its not younger players faults that they found inventive ways to grind. the points to attain were pretty much the same from at least what i can remember. besides, do you think soe is going to change their policy from making all coding the same to making coding execptions for players they want out of the game to start with? I see this argument all the time about older players, (which i have tremendous respect for), but you also had more time to accumulate more pearls, more crystals, more wealth, enjoy the frs, and even advance in it. so, unless you are willing to trade off the benifits then no, you need no special treatment...were all on the sinking boat together. we can build walls or we can build life rafts...

Why not? Sony does it all the time to us. Why cant we the players get in on the action. I like the idea myself.

I only get to play for 5 mins a month have 52 kids all under the age of one month. She is in pain. Plus i support an entire third world country "cannot say name for tax purposes." SO why cant i get my free jedi. it used to be rough now its not. You all just a bunch of glorified baseball players these days anyways. Who been nerfed to death and as i keep reading not worth playing anymore.

Gimme My Jedi already.

forget about it. jedi needs to be tougher to get not easier.

change the conversion ration in the village from 30:1 to 100:1 and let the population trail off.
