The only thing I have seen in EULA about playing away from keyboard is using 3rd party programs.
If you know of something I do not please show me. I havent seen anything about being AFK, if you use strictly in game commands and macros.
Actually, the terms of service agreement contains language that entitles SOE to terminate the contract at any time, and needs no motive to do so. Most of the specified prohibited activities cited in the TOS and EULA are for the protection of Sony and LucasArts in case they need pretext to take legal action to protect its property, such as getting an injunction against you for copying trademarks, or defense against adverse effects of the software installation. Do not confuse the TOS/EULA and its granting SOE legal rights for its own protection with the management of the user accounts, as it has pretty wide discretion to ban your account with any reason it deems necessary.

Game = you do work you get reward. Car = vehicle you drive to go to where you want to go? I didn't argue that a plane is not a plane if it's on autopilot, I argued that checkers is not a game if you have a robot play your moves. I don't get the comparison. Defend AFK grinding if you like. You're entitled to your own opinion.
I just see it more like graduating from college and skipping to retirement without getting a job to earn it. This game is about working for what you want.
i've had a few cars that were more game than transportation
but then i was always the hot rod type..
Yes, there is. Go to Yavin IV on the beach. Go next to the rock and try to step in the rock. It's tricky, but there is a hole in the rock that you can stand in. Took me about 45 mins to figure it out. Just keep circling the rock. than do your macro, the black sun can't hit you due to LOS.

lol that's so weak. you're comparing afk grinding to cruise control. Maybe the next time i decide to take a trip, i can hit cruise control and go take a nap.
Not flaming but actualy afk macros and cruise control are the same thing. Both are pre programmed to follow a set of instuctions. They accomlish diffrent tasks but are used to minimize human input. When a car is on cruise controll you still have to steer, when a afk macro is running you still have to maintain power to you pc and ensure an internet network connection is active.
namely, that grinding = content or grinding = challenge.
it's neither, hence the afk friendly nature of the game.

really so afk macros are like cruise control b/c you have to maintain power to your pc and ensure an internet connection is active? Come on, do you really believe that these are similiar? Steering is an active process, checking your power on your pc and your internet conn is not, unless of course you power your pc by turning the generator at the power planet.
You, just as everyone else, know that afk macros are used so people can gain xp while they are away from their keyboard. It is considered an unfair advantage to use an afk macro, and yes it is against policy to do this. check rule 5 Community Standards. it includes in the language that no players can use actions that give them an unfair advantage as deemed by SOE. We know from past actions that when they find out about afk macro spots they react.
