lol, only if want to wield a 4th gen saber. Or maybe you'll like being gimped on the battlefield.


It's obvious the devs will balance PvE for level 90 players now. It will more than likely be required to have that level to do any good PvE. Lets not even go to PvP where at level 80 you don't eve get a 4th gen saber.

My Dad passed away the day this news hit and i was on a plane to home. I have been away from my computer since Nov 2nd and wont be on till nov 8th. I have had alot of time to read the forms and i have to tell you all that this is disturbing.


I have been playing since april 24th 2004 and have been a Jedi since Dec 2004. SWG has been the only on line game i have ever played and still continues to be. I have devoted about and average of 30 hours a week playing, i am married with 2 children a job and a outside the game social life. I have had my share of battles with my wife about my playing time but frankly i dont give a damn. I love this game. I played pre publish 9 though the CU situation and now i will probably play through this. I worked hard at becoming a jedi and have currently a double mastery with 2 full tree jedi with a token respec left and 4 mil jedi exp. I have a 4th gen LS with 4 flawless perals and a banes heart crystal in it. I have a LS suit with +25 melee def/range def/accuracy and speed maxed. I have learned and masterd my fighting style and with the exception of a few jedi that are better then me i believe i can battle with anyone in game and do well. I spent the time developing food stacks and techniques that help me win in situations. I have completed every quest to date with the exception of some on kash and the higher end missions on TOOW. I believe that the work that i have done to date is worth value, more then money to me.


SOE, you continue to change things that make no sence. The CU did not deliver what it promiced, you dangled TOOW before me and then roll this new system out 15 days later. All the changes that you introduce seems to anger the concensus on these forms. I have seen your numbers in population on my server drop. Obviously this is not working. How can you justify taking my saber and reducing it? HOw can you justify taking my skills and reduce them? How can you take 4 mil exp and discount it? How can you continue this type of business practice and survive as a business?


To our spokesman, I realize your plate is full but help me to understand how this is suspose to be something that we will get through. Please continue to voice my opposition to the changes as a whole, they are way to drastic and will never be a succes based on previous attempts from these developers. They have no idea what they are doing and everyone knows it including the developers.


Save my JEDI from the attempt to destroy my account. I am an elder and i deserve to be heard.

I have no problem having to work towards CL90. They've said a lot of levellingin the NGEis quest-based, and the Jedi community has been asking for more content for a long time. Here ya go. I'm sure there will be some grinding involved, but it'll be much faster than previous, and it's a good excuse to go out with your friends, hunt, and learn some of the new abilities and group dynamics.

Jesus, if they only made room for a 5th Gen at 80+ and kept the system as it was I would be fine with it.


Taking away the ability of Jedi Vets to use their own sabers is LUDICROUS.


Bac, what is the official word on this? Or don't they even bother talking out of public channels any more?

Does anyone know if this is being done to any other profession? E.g. will high-cap scatters and proton carbsbe moved to cl81+? If so then it might make this a bit more palatable, as it would imply that there was going to be some kind of balance re. when each profession can use it's most powerful weapons, ifnot it would seem like a bit of a piss-take...

Hmm, looks like we'll have to grind.....is there any information on how much XP will we get per kill when lvl 80? (killing lvl 80 mobs of course )

Pls enlighten me ppl..


1-) That extra 10 lvls is a veteran reward for us, veteran full temp jedis ( CL80 )..And as far as i know, no newbies can grind to CL90 but CL80 will be their max. According to that post from Bac, a jedi gets certified for 4th gen saber at CL 82...So is that meannewbie jediscan not be able to use 4th gen saber ever?..Or could they be able to grind to CL90?..If they can, then that extra 10 lvlsis not a veteran reward...Then what is the point of that +10 lvls?


2-) I am a full temp Jedi for a long time,grinded for Jedi pre-CU, and finished my full temppost-CU.SOE,Lucas or whomever responsible made me have all the pain that a customer can get. Pre-Cu with tons of bugs, post-CU with bugs and visibility and exp loss when cloned etc etc. It was my fault not to finish this jedi grind with holo system, i am still mad at myself. But hey,icould never imagine that this game will become "something" like that. Well, my question is, if this extra 10 lvls is a veteran reward, wth do i have to grind to get CL90?..We, oldies must be CL90 directly, then that i will say a "Veteran Reward".


3-) I wanna know if every CL80 could respec to CL80 Jedi. If yes, could they be able to grind that extra 10 lvls?..If yes, why did i spent 2 years for playing swg and grind jedi with the most painful way cus of SOE fiddling with game codes?..i dont wanna mention the amount of money i paid for this game.


I hope this 4th saber genBS is just for TC...err..not ahope, thats the way it must be.

I cant understand the idea behind allowing anyone but fully templed Jedi to grind to level 90.


Why would you allow a level 80 rifleman be a level 80 jedi through a respect............this is not right, it took alot more work and now you are giving it away for free. On top of this you will allow that same level 80 rifleman respect jedi to grind to level 90.........EXCUSE ME?


How can you take my level 80 full template jedi for 8 months MLS/MDEF Healer 4040 with 4 mil exp banked and millions of credits and thousands of hours in to finding and buying attachments and pearls and make him the same as some master rifleman convert.


What is going on with the DEv's?

Bac, are jedi the only proffesion this is happening too or does evey proffesion not going to be able to use their weapons when we go into the game? If this just effects jedi then it needs to be addressed immediatly. Its not fair whats happend to us already in the last two major changes and now if we are the only ones that have to back up a weapon level its not fair again. If this is the case then this whole new fiasco starts out with jedi in the hole again...
