Thread: 1.5x Stronger? yes? no?
Jedi profession is unbalanced with broken skills, Master Healer being at the top for needing major attention.

If Paddy's were 1.5 times stronger than any other professionwhat would a KNIGHT be than a GUARDIAN then MASTER.

i would say:
Jedi vs. MBH/MCM FOTM = No
Jedi vs. anyone else = Yes
He's not seen Samuria Jack, if you had you'd be saying that Jedi were only .33 times at strong. You should watch his Fraps vid, as he beats on 3 jedi I think. All at the same time!

IMO not sure if I am 1.5x stronger then regular profs. I know that if a BH comes for me and he/she does not have MCM then I will 98% of the time kill them. But if a BH/MCM comes for me I am in a 10 minute fight and at the end of the 10 minute fight I am out of mind even with foods due to their debuffs.
Now there have been claims of "You have Saber Block" well guess what at MLS/MDef/xxx2 Enhancer / 3xxx healer that saber block sucks. You get a BH/MCM with a scatter maxed on dmg it is still a 10 minute fight but due to your mind just getting screwed you will lose.
I am a post CU jedi and I was lucky because I have all preCU crystals and pearls so I have a decent saber but I also have a guildy that is a preCU jedi with roughly the same pearls and a preCU saber and the same temp as me and he gets killed by BH/MCM due to the lack of mind. Force is not that big of a problem for either of us but the mind is what kills us.
Now onto the melee profs like MS/Mdoc those guys will mess you up but we dont have to worry about them except in PVP battles so those IMO dont come into play on this 1.5x stronger. The ones that we have to always be on the look out for are BH and as of right now their FOTM is kicking our @$$.
Oh yes it does and again we see that this story of 1.5 times stronger is rubbish!
Oh and before anyone says "well you just have to learn your template" I might not know my template as good as I should but I do PVP a lot and I am learning but the fact still remains that a preCU jedi that has the exact same temp that knows his temp is getting killed by the same type of BHs that I am and lasting just as long as I am so that tells me that I know my template decent.

The only reason why we are not 1.5x stronger is our low damage output. Although, I would have to say our deffenses are 1.5x stronger. But since our damage output is so low, we die when our force runs out or get bored of duling for an hour.
Only if you select some defender and this does not make any template that has no defender 1.5 times stronger!

if you are a full template, not master powers. And a decent saber.
This should be telling us something. Its ok to have good BH out there but they shouldn't be able to encap you before you know your being hit. Also jedi powers needs about 50% more damage or drop the warmup and rooted attacks. Jedi sabers either needs better drops or more damage. Defender needs about 50% more on aura and about 50% more on innate. Jedi should dominate. If a BH wants a full template it should take 3 to 5 of them to take you down. In the same note they should be able to take a mission between multiple BH which I think they do. I have been attacked by 2 at a time and in some cases 3 or more have had my bounty at the same time. I don't know if they were working together. They said they weren't.
Well, I've already stated that I know there are some combinations of normal professions that are good sure, but allow me to reply anyway for the sake of being a devils advocate here, since so many believe jedi is so weak. My replies in red

well, a pure breakdown of skills doesn't necessarily give an accurate picture because a jedi generally have MORE skills than a normal profession.
What melee profession can get a root? and a ranged KD?
First off, How does rooting a Melee player benefit a Melee player?
Ranged K/D, again, how does this benefit a Melee player fighting a Melee player?
I wasn't thinking against melee, I was thining against ranged... A normal melee profession has a LOT more problems fighting ranged people than a LS jedi has because jedi can more easily catch up.
No normal profession can get force run, cloak (snared or not) and AI.
No you can get FR by eatting food, Cloak will be in Ranger now, and AI......are you seriously suggesting there is a valid use for this skill. PvP = worthless, anyone with half a brain can counter it in PvP and in PvE why wouldn't you just be a Ranged player with root and some CM.....solo everything.
AI is not worthless in PvP, I know jedi who find it very usefull in the right situations. And no player, half or whole brain, can have the highest dps with his ranged weapon, while simultaneously having MCM and ranger for cloak. Only jedi can ALL skills at the same time. It's the POSSIBILITY of using a larger skills set that I think makes jedi good.
you point to the fact that rifles/ranged weaponscan get a very high dps, sure, but that is without taking into account saber block...
Yep, because we all know saber block works on melee weapons
Seriously, how many melee players do you see in a typical battle event. I typically see around zero. It's all ranged (ranged or saberthrow). The first people to break the line dies, that's why having a ranged attack as a melee (LS) profession is so good.
Now I know that some combinations of normal professions can be very effective sure, but in general when It feels like only jedi can get enough skills to compensate for weaknesses. Like getting ranged KS as melee, or running very fast as ranged.
You're wrong as I've explained in my previous posts. Block, having the possiblity of Ranged k/d with a ranged root does not out weigh the negatives I've listed. It certainly doesn't mean squat when fighting another melee player.
Well, I'm not denying there are several problems with the different jedi professions, I'm just saying it's not as bad as you say when you just list all the negatives, there are several things that makes it better too.
The actual character, I would say maybe.
However, with the mods/armor/weapons that other combat profs get... and the exceptional PVP're, I would prob say no. To me I would say it really depends on the person behind the keyboard and thier equipment.
