It would be nice if they gave a purpose to each of the saber type such as polearms would be best at area attacks, 2hand would be best at high damage but would have a long cooldown timer, and one handed would be for quick get in get out style attacks.

i care about 1 thing. and that is being able to grind and get xp at the same rate as i could before the cu. it still took a long time back then. as of right now it isnt even worth it to log on my jedi.....

oh and while im at it NERF force drain, I had 3 guys on me draining and with no defener / enhancer I was outta force in 30-40 seconds

DPS needs to be worked out. A friend is a master rifleman and he was telling me his DPS and it was 50 percent better than my lightsaber and Im at master lightsaber. And heres the funny thing it didnt have a force cost and my lightsaber did. We started laughing about how rubbish Jedi were and that bounty hunters would have more problem hunting him than me. This seems a little wrong to me.


Oh and please get the devs to fix visability there isnt a game at the moment for people that dont want to participate in PvP.

Force drain should be useful...before the CU it was basically useless...now that its useful everyone hates it. Personally I think if they left it as is, but moved it to powers it would be just fine. Powers does not have channel...so this would even out channel ability a little bit...plus enhancer and defender both have defenses vs force attacks...so it couldnt just be used without a counter.

There is nothing broken with Vis, its working as intended....


There is plenty of game out there for those that dont want to PvP...but remember that Jedi has been and will remain a "PvP enabled" character. Don't want PvP, there are ways to avoid it, you could play something other than Jedi...or play a game that has no PvP in it. I'm not trying to tell you to quit...or to stop playing jedi...only realize that you chose to play a profession that PvP is a part of...and should remain that way. Just because you dont like that fact doesn't mean we should change the entire profession to be like everyone else. Once you do that, Jedi truly will be nerfed down to the same level as everyone else...and it truly will be worthless

Im really not trying to be rude here.......does any of SonG's suggestions/bug reports/revamp ideas every get taken seriously by SOE?


I know its great info for us to see a devoted and helpful person like SonG examine and report flaws in the game, buthas SOE done anything about it due to SonG's suggestions in the past?


I know myself and others see the long list of ideas and bugs and get our hopes up that they will be fixed.


Again, not trying to be rude....just wondering.

Only in PVE though...PvE damage is WAY too low.

As it stands, I think the PvP damage is good enough.

Name one regular prof that can defeat a full template or knight+?

Very nice list I hope I'm still alive to see them all fixed.

Regarding DPS of lightsabers...

Someone above had a pretty good idea that I never thought of... why not just remove all qualities from pearls and crystals? That way every person has a chance for a "perfect" tune. The difference between the mobs that drop them would be the condition. A krayt pearl would have a very high condition whereas a crystal dropped off a janta would have a very low condition. However, they both could tune to 120, -9fc.

Another option: Increase the BASE damage on lightsabers so that the value of the pearl/crystal only determines whether you are equal to another elite weapon or are 1.5x greater than that elite weapon.

Option #3: Increase the damage range on all existing pearls/crystals to something more like 100-200.

Option #4: Add in a damage modifier for PVE.

Option #5: A little of everything above.

Im getting really tired of people telling me its my choice to be in PvP because Im a jedi. When I started the Jedi were not hunted by bounty hunters everyone had TEF so we werent a specifily PvP enabled proffession this is a relatively new change in the game. And now with the respec option every little 12 year old is now a bounty hunter where has it ever been said that a jedi has to put up with constantly being attacked. My copy of the game manual sure doesnt say it, this has come about because the devs havent stayed aware of how out of control the visability system has become. And Jedi already have been nerfed after publish 10 we were told that we had been nerfed inline with the CU, then come the combat revamp we were nerfed some more. A Bounty hunter has a higher DPS than us and we have to pay force cost on top. And all I want is the option to opt out of Visability if your a jedi and you like having it then fine by me, fight 5 bounty hunters an hour and ill fully support your right to do it. But the devs have already said they wont bring back tefs because they have no intention of forcing anyone into a PvP game style they dont want. So fairs fair we shouldnt either.
