Thread: Remove jedi from the GCW, then make them stronger

Food for thought though....
If seeing 30, 40, or 50 jedi fight is sad, what do you think the proposed FRS/jedi vs jedi war would be?

Yep pretty much. I have played both so I know both sides of the story and it is very frustrating to go overt and fight three jedi vs you, then two more jedi uncloak. I know that I should not be able to tank this many people even though I can but is there really any other way? Everyone wants to be powerful and be in the GCW you can NOT have both anymore. It was possible with perma-death, saber tef, and full template jedi (4444 guardians)being a very rare thing to see. Now with all these jedi running around it is very hard to just go out and have some fun.It really ruins the whole star-wars feeling to be fighting 50jedi vs 50 jedi. Even to go out and kill something like necrosis I find it so boring to be on a jedi toon, it really does not feel like fun anymore. The days of Comp armor jedi running around and owning PvP in the GCW are over, even 1.5x stronger is notbalanced in this game even. I do not care how much you ground if you think that it is fair a good 70%+ of the PvPers should be 1.5x stronger you are just ruining your own game.Bottom line is make jedi stronger, give them more risk, and take them out of the GCW. You can no longer be in the GCW and be stronger then every other profession. They are slowly making jedi a normal profession look at rangers getting cloak, the only way to fix this is to take Jedi out of the GCW.
/Sign make jedi strong and remove them from the GCW, make two factions Jedi and Dark Jedi. A padawan should have no faction and should be nuetral.

Make it so once a jedi is in combat they can not get attacked by another player. Problem fixed, there won't be jedi vs jedi wars it will be one vs one. This will also allow them to balance the jedi professions and bring premium pearls back for padawans.

There are many non-jedi professions that need balancing also. I'm not sure if it's just the easiest, or if it just works the best, but isn't everyone else bored of fighting the same BH/CMs everyday? I have a BH alt and I stopped running player bounties because the long, drawn out fights bored me to death.
I think it's too late and I'm not thinking clearly so this whole post probably doesn't make sense(even to me:smileyvery-happy
. I just know that for me, a Star Wars fan, seeing so many Jedi out there fighting alongside stormtroopers, etc in this time period is just not right. If they made jedi truly rare, like they said pre-launch, we wouldn't be discussing this I don't think. They can't and won't do that now, so here we are. Give us our Jedi vs. Jedi war and let's leave the GCW to what we all saw in the original trilogy movies.
It makes perfect sense. The problem with removing us from the GCW and giving us power is a ton of these jedi want to go kill all normal professions because they think they earned the ability to run around and own everyone.

That's not the point you would be able to PvP. When you are on your jedi you PvP against different faction jedi. When you are on your alt you PvP against other normal professions. The entire point of that was jedi could get the power they deserve and it would not bother anyone. You would be able to PvP your entire post makes no sense.
Great proposal! I would enhance it as follows:
A jedi may declare Special Forces at a recruiter as normal, but it will COST experience (and perhaps a DPS hit) to enter.
Jedi can join the GCW, but it would cost say 10K FRS experience to do and if they were to die (at the hands of a non-jedi) their FRS experience would be halved.
A jedi must declare Light/Dark allegiance at a certain point, (FRS perhaps).
Increase Jedi vis by 5x when seen by a Special Force unit of the other side.
- At this point, Jedi become perma-overt to the other faction and the FRS system can kick in with perhaps some kind of prestige exp for kills on other Jedi.
Result:
Jedi are OUT of the GCW. Jedi have their OWN GCW.
BH's have to plan - I mean REALLY plan to take out a full template - but it is doable as the original poster stated.
A jedi fighting the opposite non-jedi faction will be a rare and cherished fight leaving a much levell'er playing field while allowing a REAL alpha class to exist with balance.
