As a professional saber crafter I applaud your guide. I would however update it to include SAC. On bria, I have heard tales of the 94 SAC but the best I have achieved is 95. As a 10 point smith, that leave me one exp point to put into damage which using the best resources on server gets me to 244 damage. Anyway, from all the sabers I have made (all using best resources) that appears to be the best stats you can get without using the village rewards.

Anyway, the bottom line is, it is helpful to newer crafters to identify the SAC costs as they start rather high before experimenting down AND i have found that even when I get FC of 48 I sometimes still have an SAC of 98-100.

Special Action Cost...

If you do a Dervish, which would be the most expensive attack you can do, a max experimented saber vs a no experimented saber will make a 1-2% difference max, which is regenerated in less than a second.

Ofcourse, this might have a minor effect on a MLS, but very minor on non-mls. Check the specials cost and see that its only dervish that costs alot of action/force, and the cases in which Dervish is truly useful is not too common.

Opinion?

Reason: The lack of multiplayer pve content and Star Wars feel.
For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

Hey everyone, sorry to go off topic, but im a noob paddy and just wanted to know what i should spend all of my experimentation points on? I'm going master powers and am not picking up and sabers at all, so should i just experiment on effiecency, since the saber won't be doing the damage?

Thx for your help, and great guide MsNiL!

Do you need 0004 in sabers to use this guide?or can a novice sabers paddie get the same results as 0004?

It's a very difficult question to reply, becouse we are going from one belief to another.

Efficiency used to have a massive impact, but now its changed.

I would say that as long as you do not go Master Lightsaber, speed might be better for you than efficiency. I have 4004 myself and I never run out of action unless I start to play with saberthrow (the bodyhit+saberhit combo is very cheap)... but I have to be honest, its something I havnt tried myself and my lightsaber is still efficiency experimented.

I understand that effeicency may not be as important as speed and damage for the people that use sabers, but i will never be using one, i'll be using powers.

Pre-CU Bespin Port could give you +13/+14. Thats on corbantis. Now it gives +24/+25.

In other words, not only is it crafted, its also better now.

as a MLS where should I put experimentation points? Damage? effeciency? Does speed matter to MLS?

And should I experiment ONE point at a time, or multiple points?

thanks Great guide!

I was told to experiment 1 point at a time, and thats still what I am doing.

I would say that MLS would be the ones who least need speed. If I was MLS I would probably go 100% on efficiency. Even if the effect is small, an MLS user are fast... and that uses up lots of action.
In my situation, as a 4004 I just do not have anything that uses up actionpool...

I have tried a lot of different variations, and my best saber as of yet (great success assembly, amazing damage, great success on speed) i used 4 points on damage and 3 on speed. (x4x4 saber)And used all 4 points on damage first then all 3 on speed at the same time.

When i experimented with all on damage the DPS increased, but once the perals and crystals where inside the DPS was best with my above setting.

Mine is (w/o pearls) 152-254 damage. Guess this is an OK saber...

I used only the best resouces and all other stuff like research/buff/cake/port etc)
