Please note, the people who have posted negtively here are the ones that usually don't follow the OP. I need to be reminded from time to time to be more positive, but I feel that my posts are usually constructive or accurate.

I am working on the nice thing, but I am not always a nice person.

This isn't a whine or a flame. I would just like you all to take a moment to think about this before posting your next thread. Virtually every other profession views these posts. They form their opinions from what we say here about what type or people we are. When we complain endlessly about something, cry nerf, or flame eachother, they think we are spoiled brats that don't deserve to wear the title Jedi. Yesterday, I could count on a single hand the number or positive and constructive posts. I am as guilty as the rest of us. So, last night I made a promise that I would try to maintain a positive and constructive attitude while posting...at least for the next week. It would be wonderful if we all tried this. If it doesn't work, then feel free to go back to our old ways. If it does work, we might do a lot to repair our image in the eyes of the community at large. These are the rules that I will try and follow:
  • No whining about past nerfs unless I have a realistic solution
  • When someone says something I don't agree with, to post a logical and kind retort
  • Back up my ideas with real facts
  • Look at the polulation as a whole and see how my idea would affect them
  • Keep in mind that people have feelings
  • Try not to offer a solution that nerfs someone, instead something that adds to most
  • Try to not slam someones ideas, unless I can respond respectfully

I think if we all do this, our boards will be a much more enjoyable place.

What do you think?

I am for that, not the best at long wordy statements. I am honestly tired of our infighting and it stems from 5 professions sharing a forum, that causes each of us toy scream bloody murder when our template is not king of the hill or it doesn't have some advantage.

You know what, I had a Bounty Hunter come after me on Bria the guy, was yelling and screaming at me because I used cloak to live. Then claimed how soon Cloak was going to get nerfed. Then 2 weeks later I see a note from a Dev about the changes, and I add 2 and 2 together and I believe the Dev's absolutely hate us or they absolutely have no clue. I am really not happy. I used to think before the CU that my goal of going toward MP/MLS would be viable instead its a joke and I am a joke.

I had to take a skill set that at least would let me live on some scale that being MP, LS 0404 'which ironically I was before the CU not the MP' Enhancer 2403, healing 4000. And guess what I still cannot stand up to a BH at full template 'especially the good ones' I can handle most but not all and when the tough M'Fit your favorite ranged ability' MCM comes after me I cannot out heal him and he can nearly drain my force bar. And not because I run but because I have never ran until my force bar is nearly gone. If the BH sticks around when I run and cloak I stay and fight him over and over again until he is dead or I am weak again. Not being buffed, 'the BH being buffed' Usualy can out do most everything including damage output. I will say this, I really do not feel like my enjoyment is there anymore and if this goes through I will a quit because life expectancy is near 0 or I am going to stay cloaked indefinately and probably leave anyway. By making Jedi as we are now, I understand why, its needed because of the dumb 'greedy, preverse, stingy, and other sins' people of the world commit on this game every single day. The more and more I think about it the more and more I find that the allure of what it ment to be a jedi is gone, its not about honor its about Jedi Academy and the uber 13 year olds ability to whack the next overt person in the biggest gang possible.

I understand why BH's hate us, and its going to get worse, its not only the JEDI either its all of us. WE are are a preverse generation and we will pay for it!!! The reality is this, until we can acheive some kind of acceptance, and humility we are going to be the hateful lot we are, being sith being jedi means you are gods, damn it act like them. If you can't how dare you even become a jedi. The Dev's are to blame for that, it should be about real ramifications, not about how many animals I can kill. But choices, sure I thought things would be better but more and more I am finding Jedi is nothing more than the FOTM and I don't want to be the Flavor of the Month I want to be egnimatic, difficult, eccentric not specifically Jedi for being Jedi's sake. I want to play a character that understand the rage, of the Sith and to play the peace of the Jedi. I would like too see moral choices, people helping other people. This game is designed to cause division, between same factions there is not reward for acting as a group. I am done.

Furlock it has been like this since day one:

Rebel vs Imperial • Ranged vs Melee • Jedi vs BH • PvP vs RP (Yes I know there are exceptions). I wouldn't blame SWG on the division thing, I think on paper these ideas look good for player versus player combat. The problem is this used to be a game that was populated by many player types, remember the old adage: If you don't want to be killed then go neutral? This has been replaced by: If you don't want PvP then quit your Jedi • After CU many of the PvP player base ran off to go fight in Warsung Gultch. The Jedi forums have gotten bad but truthfully they are no worse than any of the ignored professions have been since launch, the only difference is with the booming influx of new Jedi comes a boom of even more people who would rather complain than weigh their options.

Remember BH used to be broken beyond reason, the Inv line was a pain to climb and seeing a master BH was a rare thing. They have been given some freedom to dabble within a profession that was as broken as any other before CU and now they have the newest FOTM profession screaming for them to be renerfed into oblivion. Some of these new people have no clue what that prof went through, just like the lack of attention Squad Leader, Carbineers(shudder), Ranger, and many others since launch.

If Jedi (especially you newbs) would step back and realize just how jacked up half of the professions were before the village, you would understand why your whining is merely an annoyance to vets moreso than a way to fix things. The sig is there for a reason.
