the problem isnt we need armor.

the problem is we need our 85 saberblock that we once had. that was the defining ruination of jedi.

the problem is that our best attack, is armor break, which through 75 pct smuggle slices on adked armor, which also happens to be 7.5k energy resistant, makes sabers worthless.

the problem is lightsaber dmage should be lightsaber damage, not energy, and not resisted.

these are and will always be the 3 main ruining of jedi. they took away, but never gave back.

when jedi stopped blocking bullets, we stopped playing star wars.

when the devs told us, we are taking all your skills, but you can get them back through "FRS", you nooblets believed them.

See the problem is this... lets say we give make this a "choice" as you say. But if it goes that by wearing armor decrees an advantage, then de facto everyone wears armor and the only choice is "to suck or not to suck".

When jedi's did in fact have that "choice" thats exactly what happened.... every jedi wore armor.

jedi can CHOOSE to include defender or force armour in their templates. brawlers can CHOOSE to include the armourbreak, or the innate armour, or a warcry, or a whatever.

you kinda forget one little thing here, regardless of what melee or ranged proffession you chose, you get melee defence, ranged defence, weapon specific defence, weapon accuracy, weapon speed, all from 1 tree. Jedi HAVEto get some defender or force armor, a TK does not HAVE to get some swords or pike so that he does not get 1 hit killed, a pikeman does not HAVE to get some fencer to work, a Bh does not HAVE to get any skill to not get 1 hit killed.

Jedi should not need freakin regular armor, we should have a certain saberblock that works vs ranged attacks and thoughness that works vs melee, i find it freaking impossible for someone to be a MASTER lightsaber and not know anything about defence, even looking at the most offensive of martial arts they all have defensive training,

i understand all of your concerns my dear jedi friends. i was never be able to play a jedi before pub9 but i wish i had seen that once glorious times as a jedi,where jedi meant to be a jedi not lightstick wielders of punny force. But therefore i opened this thread to see that inability of wearing armor on jedi is revoked. I just want to wear my red ris armor and arm my double bladed lightsabre, that is what i dream of, the freedom of choice. Therefore i need the support ofmy fellow jedis.i am playing as a jedi and bounty hunter for far too long before cu and after. support me on this matter and lets have our armors at least. they won't fix lightsabre,they won't fix force skills, but they can open armor cause it is no big deal. as iinsist upon it won'tunbalance the game.Lets take what we have right at least.

I am all for wearing of armor as I would love the master commando master lightsaber hybrid while wearing full rebel assualt armor. But there would be an imbalance... it's called glass cannon template. Anyone with any common sense would get master lightsaber and master powers with other support skills and with wearing armor they would have way more power than the MLS/MD out there. As for the people who cry and throw fits about how jedi don't wear armor get over it. Jedi have worn armor in books and other media it's a fact. The force has the power to lift an Xwingyet soon as armortouches your skinit's gone? But due to SWG balance armor isn't possible. Yeah it would rock but worry about having more important issues resolved is what is best for all.

Yes, we need regular armor or innate armor equal to 6k min. Also we shouldnt have fc with our sabers, like every regular proff. Only force enhancements, heals or attacks should require force. And if jedi wears a specific armor, armorsmiths can make good money. I am not armorsmith tho
