Heres the problem with that idea, a blackhole the size of a raisin has enough gravitational power to destroy our entire planet(not to mention there is no way to control or contain that power). So the whole idea of sabres in the way ur thinking is impossible. Again lasers do exist, but light sabres? No. Purely science fiction. And if by some marvel of science some guy was able to build one, they would never let you use it.

a black hole the size of a raisin (if you assume a raisin is a 1/4" sphere) has 3 times the mass of Mars. Less than the Earth. Enough to cause serious trouble but not enough to rip things to pieces.

Diameter=(4*Gravity constant*Mass)/(speed of light squared)

D = 4GM/c^2

Mass = (D*c^2)/(4*G)

Just type ((0.25 inches in m)*c*c)/(4*G) into google and it'll give you the mass of the black hole, and then type "mass of earth" and "mass of mars" to compare.

lol sorry I just learned about google calculator

on a side note, when atoms are torn apart, seconds before they cross the event horizon they give off a last scream of radiation which would be easily containable in standard ways. so if you could make a small enough black hole then you could easily capture its energy.

lets just hope you dont create this

A black hole can technically be created out of any amount of material, it just needshave an incredible density, so yes, that would be very possible. Creating plasma to form the blade then is just as easy as using focused light to heat up the air into plasma.

Basically, lightsabers are very possible... just not with current technology.

And if you want to go really crazy, open up a micro wormhole in the back of your saber, and hook it up to a fusion reactor (or three). More than enough power, and a lot of space to focus the light.

given the track record of the human race as a whole i pray to god that scientists never figure out how to create such a weapon until we as a race grow up....

just because we may have the ability to do something, shouldn't scientists stop and think that just because they could, does not mean that they should...

we have enough problems with people in this galaxy that cannot keep themselves from getting out of hand.. god forbid we see swg become a reality............
