Thread: How Can You Call This Balance

This is the problem people!!! DO NOT TRY TO OUT DMG via dps vs hps! This is likely why you are loosing.
The key is to cause the aggressor to dump their mind/action pool which leaves them open to attack. "How do I do this" you ask?
IT is NOT about heaviest damage as much as it is about _CONSISTENT_ damage. Hit small and fast which will use less action and force then power attacks. Keep on the BH and you will watch their stat pools, not hitpoints, dwindle away. If the agressor is believed to be a Zabrak you MUST keep STUN on while the target is below 50% of MindPool. (stun prevents equiliberium)
My template: LM, Defender 0044, Healer 4000, Enhancer 3402
Saber: 2.4spd 654max 100sac
If I go for the heaviest attacks it will not do anything other then dump my stat pools. What I do is keep states on and chip away with SaberHit, head/leg/body. I will occasionally toss in a KD and PowerAttack _ONLY_ after about 30-45 seconds which allows me to gear up the BH into dumping their stats into healing which creates an extreme situation where the BH isn't able to handle two consecuative hits for 1k & 1.3k.
I like the encounters I currently recieve although SOE has refused to invest manhours into repairing broken code which has allowed for this game to become a joke.
lol! It makes me laugh when I see these kind of threads. Jedi isn't an I win button anymore and if you're having trouble with BHs why not ask around for some advise before whining about how nerfed you are.
As a BH I see all kinds of Jedi, those that know what they're doing and those that don't. Those that know what they're doing give me a very tough fight and more often than not win. Those that don't know what they're doing usually get beaten. Saber damage has very little to do with it. it's all about tactics and food/drink.

Have you faught a can of paint? And if so, how much HAM did it have and did it beat you as well?

Ok... I see the type of person I'm dealing with now... so I'll simplify it for you.
If you cannot outdamage your opponent's ability to heal, there are no tactics you can do to defeat them unless those tactics involve you escaping. You can root them, KD them, cloak and attack, etc... but if the amount of inflicted damage < amount of healed damage... there is no way to win.
My problem specifically is with your attitude that if a Jedi loses in a fight... they must not know what they are doing. Instead of being constructive... you bash the person in this thread (which is a large problem with a lot of Jedi I see).
I do not lose to BH's in fights... in fact I find it pretty easy to defeat them. Guess that's the difference between Jedi like you and I. I'd rather point out some fundamental problems with the current system rather than pointing the finger while saying "you must suck".
while i see your point, us older jedi have that "attitude" because most of the new ones cry about everything. nerf this nerf that
there should only be one thread on the jedi boards. and it should have 50k+ posts. titled "fix pearl drops"
if every new jedi had a fair shot at a good saber, then we could make fun of you for sucking at pvp lol
LOL... better read the posts better. I'm not one to easily defeat, even for other Jedi. My Jedi is also one of the oldest on the Intrepid server (unlocked December of 2003)... making me pre-9 Jedi. In fact, when publish 9 hit, I was 2/4/4/3 Guardian. So I have a VERY unique look at what has happened to the Jedi profession. And to call someone a n00b (the person who started this thread) simply because they don't have the advantage of getting the same resources (pearls) as us old-timers is plain childish.
If anyone is going to make fun of anyone else... it'll be me making fun of you for being a kid (going by your attitude). Grow up and be constructive... try pointing out some tricks *us* old timers know so that the thread starter can look at a few new tactics maybe... don't be the child calling everyone *n00b*. If we are going by time in the profession... I can call most Jedi (including you) a n00b.

No I am not asking to be invinceable, I am just curious to where the balance is in there. For me I am an old school Jedi like many of you that remember the days where 1 Jedi Guardian could damn near wipe out a whole guild once he pulled out his polearm saber. How did we get so weak. That is what baffles me.

This is my theory and it never made any since to me at all. How can a Jedi solo an Enraged Kimogila or Necrosis with 45-60K ham, but a BH with 4k ham can come up and wipe the floor with a Jedi. Where the hell is the balance in that. Dev's whatever you guys or smoking or drinking I would sure like to know what the hell is.
