I have no problem with Jedi only groups, seeing as in the past two days - even after advising everyone in groupchat about this - 6 separate people have de-grouped while we are all in the middle of hitting a lair and just pulling their bikes and driving off. I've never seen a Jedi do that to another Jedi...non-jedi tend to either not care about a Jedi's visibility or don't know any better.
I have had Jedi do the same thing to me. Happened just yesterday. Right in the middle of the lair (not even after the fight) he left group and went LD right in the middle of the group.
That is about being inconsiderate not about being a Jedi. Most non Jedi players when given the information about how it works try to be careful and helpful about visibilty.
Inconsideration maybe the problem, but my experiences tend to support that non-jedi do this on a more frequent basis than jedi. some jedi may still do it, but it is far less frequent, making non-jedi less desirable for me to group with.
that said, i've simply moved away from random grouping to only grouping with friends. when friends aren't on to grind with, its time to go to space or play the alt.
Quoted for emphasis. Low-level toons are better served forming grind groups of their own out of places like Mos Eisley (doesn't anyone form up groups in front of the Mos Eisley Cantina anymore, for crying out loud?) or a good player city with a handy cantina and trainers than a typical jedi spin group. Until they're doing at least the force-sensitive grind, they'll be leavingafter afew minutes for more training. Better yet is to join a good, strong, helpful player association.

...One thing I hate more though is when people join a group and spend one lair fighting and then quit. Or they quit on the way to the first lair. I've seen so many people quit in a couple of minutes (and not just one person) that I often wonder why they even bothered getting into the group. In this situation, your just wasting my time because now I have to travel all the way back to MO or wherever and recruit again.
I think that this comes a few jedi or group of ppl that giv jedi a bad name just like everything else. I have nevered denied anyone into my group even though there seems to be a waiting list lol.

well if its a jedi "SPIN" group and you can "SPIN" then i dont see what the problem is, we used to invite non jedi"SPINNERS" all the time.
problem. jedi only get a 5th of the amout of exp a non jedi gets, and they need 16000000 just for a single master box. so if you cant spin, or are very low level, or are ranged, you will simply be holding them up and not much help. jedi dont need to be incapped while grinding in groups because of too many weak links "non spinners" in the group. dont forget jedi have to hit a lair and move on, they have bh s to contend with, reg professions dont.
also, there is nothing better to add to a jedi spin group then a good ole aoe pikeman.
problem, i have seen many nooblets advertising "spin group" , invite me in it, then when i get in it im surrounded by 7 ranged professions. this is in no way a spin group. spin is melee basically, with either jedi or pikeman skills, pikeman has 2 sorts of spins.
also, there is usually a waiting list for jedi spin groups, jedi are usually first on the lists because there exp is so much more and harder to get, pikeman are usually welcomed, ranged are weak links. the more ranged, the harder it is on the jedi, and more likely a jedi will incap or run out of force.
lastly, jedi dont owe you anything, and until you ve walked, uh, no ran in their shoes, you just dont get it. maybe someday you will.
Well, I hate Jedi haters....lol...
We are the only proffesion that is hated because we group in public, and now hated because we group in private....Hispania is one of the most remote towns on dantooine and Jedi go there to group to stay away from others....now people are complaining that you want them away from other non jedi groups but if you dont get an invite to join their group you think its wrong...I have never seen so many hipocrites in my life than the non-jedi who post on the jedi forums. Dont just hate Jedi, I have been not allowed in groups because 1. I was not in the leaders guild, 2. I was too strong for the group, 3. I was an american, 4.I was not imperial....and a few others that were trivial reasons. Get over it. The group leader did the work to make the group, keep it organized, and keep it running so he has the say so who belongs. Go hate the other people that i mentioned for not letting people in groups....its about as asinigne as this reason to hate Jedi spin groups.

Many high-level non-Jedi grinding around the MO are grinding FS with the intent of becoming a Jedi, so they're most times very considerate about this sort of thing. Maybe I've just been lucky, when I voice any type of concern in groupchat with non-Jedi, they're more than happy to watch about ungrouping too close, or grouping their pets, or waiting on my regen, or clearing away a pack of NPC's before starting the lair.
'Course, then there was this one guy the other night, had his pet running around. I asked to have it grouped, mentioning visibility, and he refused as there was only one spot left and he was expecting his buddy. So I left, andhe traded a Master Defender tank for a CL17 pet. I found another group right away, of course. Found out awhile later that right afterwardsmost of the group left him out there by himselfnext to the untouchedlair over the incident. ![]()
actually this pisses me off too. you knwo the reason why these people do this all jedi crap? is because they dont KNOW how to spin and think u need all spin people cl 80 crap. nope youre wrong. you have to set the attack up properly and attack at the same exact time normally, but outside of that, they dont knwo what they are doing. they prolly got the maura ego thing going on but if u kill a layer with too many hard hitters too fast, youll end up getting like 20k per lair as a jedi. for me. thats crap. and average, it will be about 30k and up. it takes a short time, but you go REALLY fast through lairs. which is why a group like this can cap 800k fast as hell.
Again i just got done with my temp like 2 weeks ago i think, and we tore it up. but yeah, five jedi max and a good leader that knows what hes doing.any more is good if you dont have anyone, but dont base it off cl. plus, i know that a hard hitter, at least on my server who does not get picked will get his own group and if mine dies, i got to his and vice versa, next day im in his group. its no hard feelings because they know normally where im comming from. whis is why...
I HATE THE CL STUFF!
IMO, Non-Jedi are essential to these groups. Nothing better than a M Doctor in group to keep everyone buffed and healthy... especially with the threat of MBH in the area.

I know one of the things that make me insanely angry, are when a jedi starts a spin group, and will not invite a non jedi too their group. These types of jedi wonder why we are the most hated profession, this is one of the reasons. Im just trying to say if you start a group, invite every type of profession, not just your own. Its okay to be proud of being a jedi but when you completely ignore some who wants to grind equally as much as any one else because they dont have a lightsaber, its pretty stupid. /cry how am i going to get my alt full temp so i can resume the jedi grind, lol(so far the best thing ive found to counter this is too dress like my jedi, you know cloak and stuff, lol, seems to work a bit)
Yeah, they're the most hated. Most heard comment in grind groups at MO: "Get a Jedi in the group." Sounds real hated to me. Sounds more like you got mad about something and then decided to state that everyone hated all Jedi because of something you got annoyed about. I've never had any problem getting a character in a grind group at any level on any server.
Dude, a lot of people do hate jedi, they think that we are the ones that ruin the game, and make it unfair to everyone else. And the reason you will see, get a jedi in the group is because of a master defender being able to tank for the group, not because everyone just loves them.
Actually you will find just as many Grind groups that won't let lower level characters in, and want lvl 80 only players. Which seems to be more dominant than the Jedi only thing. They feel that if the player is not lvl 80, they won't contribute enough to the lair destruction, so aren't worth their time.
Hang out at the MO, you will find more low level characters that can't get a group, than non-jedi in general not getting in a group.
Both of which I find disgusting btw...
