Do you consider "people who actually liked the old SWG system" a "market"?

Star Wars fans have loathed it since day one. Most quit back in 2003-2004 due to the hollow grinding, lack of content and no star wars feel.

Do you really think there is a market for asub standardFPS with cheesy graphics? How many of the elite console kids will be bored of it within a couple of hours never to play again? Wheres your market now? Oh thats right, SOE and their carebear cheerleaders alienated them all, grats

I am not against pvp. It's quite fun in other games.

1on1 fights doesnt work in an rpg and becouse of that forced-pvp is a horrible idea, and SWG had a really broken system and there was no effort from soe to make pvp fun.

The problem is, many thousands of people both in these forums and in the game itself disagree with you. That's what you either cannot see or refuse to accept.

4.5 million disagree with her and are playing wow right now, several million playing lineage, and lineage 2, several hundred thousand playing EQ 1 and 2 right now, a mill or so playing FF 11, this just shows how little MSnil really knows about this type of games.

this post made so many things clear that i didnt relize before, why you hated this game among other things. This was not a first person shooter, the fun in pvp in RPG's is the focus on the character rather on the reflexes of the person behind the keyboard. I play swg to play an RPG, i have quake 3, UT, battlefield 2 and halo for the FPS type combat.

I just relized how much of a liability you are, and how you never should have bought this game.

Asume what you like. I have finished most adventure and rpg games releasedto pc since 1998, of which games such as Baldurs Gate 2, Knights of the Old Republic and Syberia tops my list.

I do not see the point of pvp'ing 1on1 in a roleplaying game. First becouse RPG's is about co-operation.Second becouse RPG's are about numbers and dices.

Reason: The lack of multiplayer pve content and Star Wars feel.
For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

Thoose who are left here either eh... "like" swg for the system, or are star wars hopefuls.

The "Thousands" here who "like" the game as it is, do not match the "Billions" Star Wars fans out there.

How do you equal "not playing swg becouse it sucks" with "disagree with me"?

Pretty much all players who I started the game with moved to wow since wow offered content and stuff to do, regardless if you wanted to pve or pvp.

Just because you don't see the point, doesn't mean that 1vs1 pvp should be removed from rpg games.

If RPG is based on number and dices, and swg is (supposed to be) an mmorpg, why is the NGE better? The NGE is more inclined to FPS skills than on numbers and dices. Yet you're making sure to post everywhere how the NGE is a bless for the game. The old systems were A LOT more rpg inclined.

I have never asked for duels to be removed.

And I have a twisted feeling for NGE so do not asume I am all bells and whistles over it.

There's no difference between the NGE or pre-NGE for roleplayers, except that pre-NGE there was some mechanics that interrupt and worked against playing a Jedi "by the book".

NGE is godsend to pve players who want to adventureand explore. It's exactly what we always asked for.

But frankly, the controls suck right now.
