problem with nooblet jedi is this. it used to take 6 months to a year to grind a jedi, also during that time, it took a jedi s alt 6 months - to a year of everyday hunting krayts with friends to come up with 4 good tuned pearls.

problem now id jedi are fully ground out in 2 weeks, but your alt hasnt done the 6months - a year of krayt hunting with friends to get those 4 great tuned pearls.

MYTHS

myth 1. premium pearls tune great everytime, WRONG, i have a entire house full of them to prove it

myth 2. crystals are just as good as pearls, WRONG i have never seen a crystal tune -9 force over 115 damage

myth 3. pearls arent dropping WRONG im in DKA guild on ahazi, the other night i joined in a DKA guild krayt hunt for the noobs, just hanging with guildies having fun, i mean, im not in competition with my guildies, in pvp i want the jedi next to me to be just as good if not better, anyway, i could only stay an hour, 1st hour , 8 good pearls, from all ranges and level of krayts, we killed them all.

and finally the my favorite myth of all

myth 4. if i sit and cry and whine on the jediforums long enough, the devs are going to give me 4 flawless perfectly tuned pearls, WRONG.

you new jedi as far as pearls arent going trough anything the rest of us didnt already go through. the problem is it took you 2 weeks or less to grind your jedi, now you should park him in the garage, stop wasting money on pearls crystals, get a 8 man group, and go hunt hunt hunt hunt hunt hunt hunt hnunt until you get 4 great tuned,then play with your jedi

or go play with your jedi, keep whining, and make a bh rich, its your jedi, its up to you.

And for the record, I've tuned nearly 370 PEARLS only post cu and have almost identical results, still nothing even above 110 for the best tune, don't act like a noob when you should know better. Man go farm them yourself then. Pre-cu jedi tuned 50+ premiums to make a nice saber (perfect looking for more like 100+ tunes). No need to pay for them when you have an alt you can make into a bh or even hunt krayts yourself.

And trust me, for 45 tunes those are pretty dang sweet tunes.

Yep. Hate to say it fellas but he is right. He is probably pre-cu and has a perfect saber or he isn't a jedi. The odds are about 1/999999999999 which means that there is still a possibility. We better all wait patiently for the 1 in 9trillion tunes to happen

Man, although I understand your frustration, you have no place to complain. There have been people who have tuned 3x that amount with not one tune as good as you second best.

I myself have tuned over 200 crystal & 100 pearls since the CU to take up the final 2 slots in my saber.

I wouldn't mind tuning so many if they would just improve the tuning odds a bit. I agree it should be hard, but not impossible.

I am a SOE customer. Now, if they would only treat me like one...

19FC ain't too bad, your force should be able to stay steady but your damage could be better. Personally, I have 2 lightsabers, one for damage that has 33FC but 694 damage, and one for force conservation with 13FC but only 440 damage or so. Additionally, those 2 sabers, the FC one I experimented for low FC and the damage saber I experimented for damage. Every time I try to mix and match my pearls to have one saber that's a happy medium, the FC is always too high. So I wail away with the damage saber until my force gets no less than 50%, then I switch to the low FC saber and let my force work back up.

Whatever the pre-cu sabers are is irrelevant since no one knows what the new FRS is going to be based on, until then, it's all in the tactical decisions you make, like using 2 sabers as I do.

90%+ tunes of premiums or higher will tune significantly better than "good" pearls, even the bad premiums typically tune within usable ranges, but don't expect perfect or near perfect tunes every time.

you are partially correct here. I have crystals that have tuned to those stats, so they can tune just as well as pearls in that case, however I have noticed that they tend not to have as good a speed mod on them.

Yep, pearls are dropping just as they always have been(as far as frequency, obviously no high qualities dropping still).
