If you kill them once, they will always come back.

Evade them at all cost bycloak, force run, log in water/house etc.....

They won't waste thier time on you again.

True story.

P.S. Make sure to sit AFK in your house on occasion too, that will really get your name crossed out of thier book.

I was standing just behind my own city's shuttleport talking to a few guildies, and we notice and Buffed and Fully fed Ithorian get off the shuttle.

I flicked my Aura - valor - infusion macro on and carried on chatting to my guildies, as he ran over and opened fire on me I simply /sigh at him and carry on chatting to my guildmates - In fact every single one of then completely ignored him.

After about 15 mins of shooting me and flinging Poo at me he gave up, shuttled out and sent me a /tell that simply said "Lame"

I didnt send a tall back, tho it was tempting.

I dont do it to deliberately undermine the BH, its just that I am fed up with them interupting my gameplay.

I have a lot of time to waste in SWG now with nothing really left to do, so if they are going to come for me, they will have to wait till i have finished talking or doing what im doing.

I understand that there are BH out there that could really take advantage of me while im doing this, but luckily for me thats only about 3% of the BH's out there.

Just wondering about that macro you used, I am currently newly started and in the city at the moment so I have a long way to go but would like to get prepared, what is this macro you are talking about and where could I find some that would benefit Jedi that use different templates?

no, the way to eliminate bh is to kill them several times and they will quit hunting you....they will drop your mission everytime.

If you, however, put up a good fight, and show honor and integrity, they may not DB you if you are in the middle of a grind.
I say this from personal experience.

There is some segment of the BH community that enjoys the challenge of catching a Jedi that won't fight but most propbably don't. I've heard more than one BH tell me of a certain mark: "he never fights so I'm not bothering"

Personally I stick with: If you want to fight them do it. If you don't run. Its your game and your time so do what you want to do.

if you lean towards the light side of the force, remember what yoda said "Adventure. Heh! Excitement. Heh! A Jedi craves not these things. You will know. When you are calm, at peace. Passive. A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never for attack. It is the obligation of a jedi to avoid fighting when all possible. So running away and hiding is not dishonorable it is the right thing to do if you can. Peace is the way of the jedi. Avoiding conflict when possible is what yoda suggests. Now if you lean towards the dark side you can do what ever you want.

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.

There's is no place for honor or integrity for a dark jedi. I will never fight honorable or show integrity to a bh(as long as it's not an exploit). Bh's and dark jedi should not be honorable because in the end it will lead to their downfall.

I have been on somewhat of a rant about AFK BH kills. This issue was addressed by a SoE representative in what seems to be so far a positive manner. Its human nature to take things negatively so I tend to try to downgrade any responses that don't go100% may way.

Everything you are suggesting to stop BH is exactly part of my concern. The funny thing is that I enjoy the BH vs Jedi part of the game. I think it is probably the one thing that makes this game cool. You are probably right about your methods. There are a few really good BH out there with over 100mill in gear and tape. Many others are just a waste of our time. If we are going to be encourage to engage in battle with BH we need a reward. Maybe we get to loot a random piece of their gear. Or we get 20% of the bounty.

I don't pay to be someone elses form of entertainment.

Good Luck with your effort.

Some bh's usually give me hell for cloaking during the fight, saying it's not honorable.
I have no honor, and I will keep the fight one sided if I can, I will toy with you by making you hunt me.
If bh's want to kill me they must do it without honor and strike me at a moment when I am most vulnerable.
If I see you coming, you've already failed to defeat me.

The best bh's imo are the ones that kill a jedi with one shot and the jedi never even knew what hit them.

No, never loose. Your way seems weak best even more BHs will try you

Id have to agree with Viper here. Im pretty much in this role here. BHs will show up and give some sort of a comment that will end up in the profanity filter or some variation of the following:"Im not suicidal"or "FFS". They then drop the mission and leave. For some reason the BHs on Tempest cant seem to figure out how to get a target name or just approach me and tell me one of the above comments. I realize this does not work for people lacking decent sabers or who are uncomfortable with fighting BHs but it seems to work well for me.

When you run you send out a mesage that you're weak either a dappler, lower saber, or still ginding. If the one of these are true than running can be a a solution.

Myself , found that by triple incapping, disabling vehicles (if any)a bh at very best making him/her abort due time has elpased 15-20 minutes. Even the vet bh are less likely to try me.

I have done my best to avoid being on the BH terms but, I know it's inevitable that the day will come my mission will be there. I am not full template yet and, my saber is a piece of crap because I can't get a good tune on crystals/pearls.

I would like to know how escaping is an exploit? I can see if you are using an LOS bug or a true exploit like such but, how is running away an exploit? How is it an exploit to be in a house? How is it an exploit to use your given skills such as root, cloak, force run, etc...?

I have lost every duel I have been in with guildies and friends so, what hope do I have against a full temp, fully prepared BH?

And where in the Terms of Service or rules does it say "All jedi that are hunted by a BH must stay and take the a$$ kicking and lose thier xp."?

If you have a good saber and are strong enough to stay and fight and, want to do so, I /bow to you. But there are those of us that have no chance at all to survive untill crystal/pearl drops are corrected and we earn the 10's of millions of xp at 1k a shot to get to full template.

You wanna stay and fight...then do so. If you want to escape...just dont use true exploits.

When someone does this, he goes on my f-list if he already is not there, and I hold the mission as long as necessary to catch him out of the house in the next 3 days before the mission decays (or someone else gets him). I know plenty of other BHs that do the same. Yes, I know that means I do not do any other BH missions, but that's when I work on Pilot skills, Kashyyk quests etc.until I see him log in and then the hunt begins anew.
