While Garva may not have said anything out of line in his post, I will.

I'm sorry but if you can read what he said and seriously take offense to it, then you lack critical thinking skills. Whatever Garva would have posted at the time, you would have been offended by it. What did he say in his post so offending?

Was it:
It really does not help anything at all, because while we will not remove all of them any that violate our community policies will be removed and the posters suspended.

Well in that sentence he stated what the community policies state, any posts that violate their community policies are removed.. Hrm. Don't see whats offending there. Seriously, I myself (a Jedi) am tired of seeing all these useless posts on the forums. I wish they'd get rid of more of em.

and it goes on and on...but i won't bore you by posting the whole thing again...

you ask, "what did he say in his post that is so offending?" it isn't what he said, it is the way he said it. i have read a couple posts about ppl in customer service noting that you don't speak to a customer in this fashion. having been in customer service myself, i completely agree with them. the problem that you are having is that you are not reading between the lines. basically, he is saying that all posts will fall on deaf ears. he is saying that they know that ppl are upset but they don't care if you care to state an opinion that is in any way inflammatory, measures will be taken against your account. as a customer service rep, which btw, garva is by default as the correspondent, you are bound to get people who are angry with you and talk to you in tones that you don't appreciate. call it a hazard of the job if you will but if you don't think that you will get those kinds of posts, you are just plain ignorant. that, however, doesn't give you the right to talk down to a customer...especially not if they are paying for the service they are complaining about. you want to lose a customer? that is one of the best ways that i can think of to do it. just totally tell them that their opinions don't matter and even better, tell them that if they call customer service with a problem, that you will shut off their service. see how far you get running a business like that.

and maybe, just maybe, its not the fact that i'm not reading between the lines... But that people are reading to much into it and making their own conclusions to what he meant when he posted what he did. Sometimes, just sometimes, there's nothing to read in between the lines. It is what it is. And thats all it is.

I dont think Garva was out of line at all. You guys need to stop the ranting and what not. Its rediculous. Things will be rebalanced. Just give it time. the day after the patch and people are giving time for the devs to fix any issues. "Oh Im cancelling my account cause this patch" Good! We dont want you people in the game then. Dont want to wait? Want everything your way and the instant you want it? then go play a card game or somthing.

You cant honestly believe that people are mad because of this one patch. If you believe that then you are obviously new to the game and new to the forums. People are upset about nerfs, yes. Butwhat really upsets people here is the lack of any response, or communication over the lifetime of this game. Add to that what Garva said and people start seeing blood. You cant keep ignoring your customers and expect them to sit back and be happy about it. Please dont post things like this. You obviousle have no idea about how 99% of the this community feels.

you know...you are right. maybe, just maybe (and i stress the "just" part) there is nothing between the lines. however, if you truly believe that you are more naive than i give you credit for. as i stated before, you would not be able to successfully run a business if you told all your customers that. thank GOD that some of us are intelligent enough to know that this one person ISN'T the whole company and that they may not agree with what he was saying...for if they did, this game would simply cease to exist. who would want to play a game where there is no attention paid to the problem and therefore it just continues to deteriorate. garva crossed the line and should be replaced. it is that simple. i have seen people get fired for a lot less and this certainly warrants that type of action. however, i DO believe in second chances and i DO think he can make amends, however, he has a lot of work to do and i don't think that most of the other jedi are as forgiving as i am. if i have my say, i say give him a second chance but if he ever hints at this kind of disrespect again, remove him immediately. there is the possibility that he just stuck his proverbial foot in his proverbial mouth and i am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt ONCE...however, he already has a tarnished reputation due to that post and if another post like that were to surface after this, he should be removed as fast as electronically possible.
