I DONT GIVE A $HIT WHAT BOUNTY HUNTERS SAY ABOUT RUNNING AWAY!

Who runs from the Jedi when they realize they are out gunned?

BOUNTY HUNTERS!

Who uses their terrain negotiation advantage to run away up hills as they battle Jedi?

BOUNTY HUNTERS!

Who roots/snaresmethen runs away to avoid my might blade?

BOUNTY HUNTERS!

Avoiding death in anyway is called tactics!

LEARN IT, LIVE IT AND TEACH IT!

Friday night I pulled a mission out of the hat box in Kaadara, and tracked this Jedi down to a player city on Tat, just north of Jabba's pad. I sneak up on him under cover, and begin the assualt. What happens? Force Run! I must have chased this guy 2500m into another city, where he blew up 3 of my bikes before finally reaching is destination: His private home. So I leave the area, drop the map signature and come back under cover.

Eventually, this Jedi leaves his house, and drives right over me, but I couldn't get a shot off in time at the bike, and he bee-lines for the shuttle and my droid reports activity in Mos Espa. So I shuttle into town not 30 seconds behind him. Now.... Mos Espa is a rebel controlled city on my server so there were tons of red cons on the overhead, so finding this guy was a little tougher. I finally catch up to him, and we have a running firefight through the city.

To this Jedi's credit, he was able to elude me for over 2 hours, before retreating to space, at which point I vowed to end him, on way or another. He eventually logged out either in space, or on a planet, I dropped the hunt for the night.

Day Two: I log in and find that my target logs on about an hour later. I quickly track him down to another of his residences, this one on Rori. He's inside, doing absolutely nothing. I send him a tell asking for his thoughts on round 2, and he agrees to come out.

Out of respect for this Jedi for eluding me for hours the previous night, I allow him to buff up, start macro's, and tell me he was ready. Once the fight began, it was quickly evident that I was winning, and he tells me he's going to run again... I /grin at him, this time prepared for the 100m dash. I nailed him with snare to keep him slowed down slightly then nailed a startleshot/knockdown/critical/headshot combo that incapped him.

No, I did not let him live. I sent him a /bow, thanked him for his time, and was on my way. Altogether, a GREAT 2 day "fight"

To the original poster.

Just to say it's not the best going shopping food/vehicles or whatever with your jedi toon. You are given an alt for what then?

I'll toss one in since i think it was so funny. Yesterday morning, out grinding with a group on dant. bunch of jedi so having fun blowing through the lairs. First BH comes, shoots me at half force and im the one tanking the lair. Chase him down...follow, stun, ab, head, kd, power and dead...not really interesting right? here's the good one....

I have to take my daughter to school so go AFK..Yes, i left my jedi AFK while taking a 10 minute round trip. BH comes, starts attacking me. My wife puts me on run in one direction...FR for about 3K from where my group is...never hit one building if you can believe it. BH is following me the whole time. I get home she's like you got a BH. Ok, no worries. Half force. Turn on the BH, trash his bike and chase him down. He starts calling me all kinds of things. FKing American and things like that. Well, im taunting him all over the place. Whats the matter, cant kill and AFK jedi? anyway, he dies...haha, then sends me the best tell I've gotten from a BH in a long time...

"your a moron for going AFK with a jedi. Play the game" and some other such crap...then says im on ignore? Not my fault he couldn't kill a FR1 jedi with only infusion and aura up...one KD and i was toast

LOL

I laughed for hours on this one.

He was a bad BH... Probably a respec FOTW type who doesn't understand the profession. Ah well... Love to see what happens when you go against someone who knows what they are doing.

so sayeth legad?

Haha..Ive killed every BH that has come for me, except one, since the second week into cu. Was neg 750K jedi xp. ground it out and finished getting from a 148 K jedi to full temp with only 2 days of double xp. The one BH that killed me was a repeat customer and I lost cuz i messed up, not cuz he was better...and ive faced some of the best on my server from FOTM respecs to old-school

I enjoy the BH encounters. I goovert and kill a bunch of Imp NPCs just to enjoy the PvP that comes from the BHs who soon follow.
I have only had one bad encounter, and that was one in which a BH accused me of exploiting because I defeated him. I had to laugh, but I didn't bother responding. I add/ignore people like that.
When I fight, I assume it is an honorable fight and /bow then thank the hunters for a good fight when they are finished.
We did sign up for this by choosing to be Jedi. By all means, fight to have it changed if you hate PvP...that is your right as a paying customer.
But...please don't whine about the forced PvP. Just make a good argument about why it should be different.
Wolf

Ill give you a good argument why it should be changed.
1) It doesnt fit alot of peoples play style. That is the exact reason the GCW was changed so that you could be onleave, combatant (pve), or special forces (pvp). Before jedi was rare and reservered for power gamers and pvpers only. The village changed all that. Now everyone is a jedi and are paying customers. Good business would state that you want to try to appease all different types of personalities in this game and not cater to one specific group.
2) "Manditory pvp" for lack of a better term is why we see so so many screams for nerf or un-nerf of professions. Everyone wants to be the winner. Honestly who wants to loose ever if you had the choice between winning or loosing. This gives rise to exploits and cheats. It gives rise to anger and hurt feelings and name calling and rudeness. Now i know its just a game but some people take it way to seriously thus creating alot of hate and animosity amongst players. Have you seen that going on any where in the game or these forums? It ruins the fun for those that play this game as an outlet for stress of real life issues. It also attracts the more unsavory of people that like to play online games. The bully types if you will. We have to deal with a''holes all day in real life. Who wants to log in and play a game and have to deal with those same types of people. And yet alot of times those are the types of people that are involved in pvp. Not always though. Its just much easier to get away from those types when you are not "forced" to have to battle them. Now not all pvpers are that way. Alot are cool peeps with a level head and will show respect wether they win or loose. Its just unfortunate that the bad apples cause the problems for everyone else. Thats why it needs to go away. Those that want pvp 24/7 should be able to. Those that dont should have the opption to stay out of it and do multiplayer online cooperative play.

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.

Well that would be nice. Thats how im too. Win or loose im always polite and lately ive been loosing alot. But not everyone is like us. And there are some rude peeps in this game.
