Man that story sounds like a nightmare. I agree with any player that does not want to spend 3 hours doing something like that. Maybe a timer, the BH can't kill you in one hour , the tef is gone and mission goes incomplete. .....it hap;pned to me in reverse. After about an hour of foghting the Jedi I wanted to break off ,out of sheer boredom ,and the jedi kept coming so no choice but to stand and fight another 30 minutes until the Jedi ran off.

Star wars to me equals jedi so i had to become one i couldnt help myself. However ive noticed those that love pvp and or competition and or griefing (bully type) are usually the ones that have a bh character or a bh alt. Bh attracts the more unsavory player typesas well itseems. Not all people that unlock jedi fit into that catergory. But most all bh fit into that catergory or atleast the ones that take player missions. They dont have to take player missions at all. It is their choice. There are plenty boss and elit marks on those terminals.
But i shouldnt generalise not all peeps that take on the bh profession are that way.However ifyou read the bounty hunter jedi forums it just seems so.
It's PVP in general that draw the unsavory types, especially forced PVP. It was the same in Ultima Online. It got so bad there the developers created a mirror-land for each server that had no PVP at all. The PVP side ended up emptybecause players that like forced PVP only like it so they can prey on people who don't want to PVP at all, and thus, naturally, won't be good at it.
It's an ego boost for gamers who are lonely, nerdy, or hated in real life by all their peers. It comes down to being an outlet for them. heh.

I don't mind BH's hunting me...they can't kill me anyways, unless AFK. I either win in 5 minutes, or I root/run...they don't grief me.
I must say one thing, despite all the hype... When I hunt Jedi, and kill them, or not, they are either extremely pleasant, or say nothing.
Same goes for Jedi, even though I kill them or get away, they are extremely pleasant.
I don't know what game everyone else is playing, but my experiences are awesome. The people (vast majority) are very cool (on Bria anyways)

It is server specific. On Chilastra it is as you describe. I really never get hate tells, I have become friends with some of my marks etc.

I have only had one bad encounter, and that was one in which a BH accused me of exploiting because I defeated him. I had to laugh, but I didn't bother responding. I add/ignore people like that.
When I fight, I assume it is an honorable fight and /bow then thank the hunters for a good fight when they are finished.
We did sign up for this by choosing to be Jedi. By all means, fight to have it changed if you hate PvP...that is your right as a paying customer.
But...please don't whine about the forced PvP. Just make a good argument about why it should be different.

IMO I think if you are 50% or less into your jedi template, PVP should not be mandatory, These people really have absolutely NO chance to win a fight with even a decent BH. When you hit 50%, then it starts.
When you get to Knight Status, you should have the option of staying a Knight and not having to PVP if you want. If you want to go higher in the FRS, then it's PVP for you.
There needs to be a little bit of flexibility with this system. Only the 3/4 and Full temp Jedi win with any consistency, and it's because lower level Jedi are just too gimped to complete. So they either have to run, or die, and usually they do both.
The lack of choices with this system is what really puts a lot of people off I think. As a new Padawan, you have no choice really but to die if a BH shows up for you. And XP is harder to come by as a new padawan too.

well put and if they did that in SWG making altenate servers fro pve and pvp ill bet you will find that the pvp servers will end up empty too.

I hate when I find out the payout is under 200k, it just aint right, especially with the horrible sabers some peeps have. I feel horrible for them (because it used to be me)

i was on dant agro op dueling against a jedi.. then a bh started attacking me with his droid, i fastly did fr and cloak cuz i was about half of force..(im m pow).. then looked at him.. he wasnt noob bh at all (1750 pvp rank he had).. yells started "haha coward noob come here" etc..anyway he was waiting middle of the agro op.. i did choke/area kd/AB/head/throw he was like 150 health left then paralyzed me and ran into cantina..i went after paralyze gone then bang.. he had full of foods+health buff crystal on.. anyway we started fighting just outside of agro (he had 7k+ health).. after 10min fight i killed him.. then hate tells start coming:
"u noob lamer, u attacked me when i wanst rdy, ur just a noob ur a lamer ffs f*ck u nob"
yes he said he wasnt rdy when i attacked him as THE BH
i got many stroies with bh's, one day (b4 cu) 3 tkm/bh came for me.. i had no chance of course as "alone" so i called my AT-ST 
i told it to attack the first guy then it started shooting 500 dmg (bh's werent wearing armors in those times) then i did throw to him a few dervish and first was dead..then second same tactic.. and the last one tried to run away first but i catched an again my atst roled 
and many many stories after CU first came.. tons of respec bh's, uber jedi healing (no mind cost and too little force cost).. was all fun for me
