MSNIL, your a flunky, Benedict.

anyways

That whole interveiw is complete crap, the entire new NGE is complete crap, and that is coming more and more into view. Most people i knew who supported it at first, are now changing sides.

The sky is falling people, what a load of BS. Other words, ignore them. If we dont like what they say ignore it and it will go away, there's a good idea. And we have played the game and still hate it you arrogant **edit**.

This game have a very strong silent minority. Whenyou see an issue we are upset about, it's often the same players posting about it over and over again while positive gamers only post once or twice then go back to play the game. With the high forumcount of the "negative" posters, it's easy for a forumdweller to believe they represent the "large mass" when they in fact are no more than a few hundred players next to maybe two-threehundred thousand players.

That do not mean I defend him or soe.

See, the beautiful thing about forums is you can say something like this. People believe it because it is technically possible. The only problem is that if you actually go in game, and ask around, you are not going to see this as a vocal minority. You'll see it for what it really is. People hate this system.

$100 says that they're including all station members as SWG players. The station members could be as high as 100k, easily.

I come from a guild who all are planning to stay and look forward to do the new pve stuff together. We arent so much concerned about the system as long as we can walk forward and do something together. The majority of our guild left the game becouse the quest-less grinding.

KOTOR was a tremendous sucess, and SOE know it. By making the game at least appear like KOTOR, they have in fact got alot of previously cancelled accounts to be resubscribed. The people who played SWG for the system is a very microscopic community compared to the players who played and enjoyed KOTOR.

Then there's players like me who simply dont care about what the combat system is... I only play the game becouse it's starwars and when im not doing quests it's like a glorified chat to me. If it wasnt star wars I would have left a long time ago.

So from my point of view it's true. And that point of view is understandingly very different from the average Jedi forumdweller since the average Jedi forumdweller arent a rabid pve player like me and my guild.

so that means my whole guild of people quitting because of these changes, makes it still half and half. there are no true facts in if the NGE is good or not, and if the side that doesn't like it is a minorty. lol and i'd hardly call these changing on the level of KOTOR appealingness.

MsNil won't get this, she appears to go through this game with blinders where only her opinions are correct or truly matter.

This is hardly KOTOR in any way shape or form. If it was KOTOR style, EVERYONE would play it.

Now for a little bit of info on my background:

I've been playing for over a year. I've almost NEVER pvp'd. The only times pre-cu I pvp'd were when I threw an area heal and got a TEF (Damn those were fun times). The only time I pvp post-cu is now, because I have nothing to lose. I am not a pvper, simply because I have never been at end-game. I am PVE only at this point. I have only played PVE, and for the most part, unless pvp somehow becomes invigorating and interesting post-NGE, I wont be participating.

The only reason I still play is, I still have three or so friends I care about. Besides that, I've wasted alot of time and money playing this, and I dont want to see my time and effort turn into nothing.

Now then, that being said. I consider myself an average jedi. Not all jedi live on pvp. As it is, of my friends only one pvps. Damn near everyone I know is still out grinding, or helping people grind. The worst problem I see with these forums, and this administration is, they make wide sweeping statements. You cant judge EVERYONE based on your experiences with one or two people.

So the petition against the CU had 16000 signatures, i wonder how many would be needed to get a pre cu server.

If you compare the plotline with KOTOR you will notice the similarities.

KOTOR, KOTOR2 and SWG all starts with an "escape", and you end up free but hunted with no idea why. You start on a small space station to earn money and run newbie quests, and then you move on to places with more freedom.

The quest journal is similar.

That's what I meant about kotor.

--- Cancelled 24th November 2006
Reason: The lack of multiplayer pve content and Star Wars feel.
For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

and you even remotely agree with that bull**edit** he spewed about jedi?

I have quite alot of business experience with both game development and corporations, so I am very attuned to what he is saying. I believe he's alot more honest about the changes and underlying reasons than what's normal in this business.

Some of the interview is even positive with regards to the future plans.

The only thing I do notentirely relate tois "There are a lot of different levels within that [profession], so the people who've been [working down the Jedi path] for a long time will be much more powerful than the people just coming up. We're still rewarding people for their loyalty over the years" since you can respec to Jedi after grinding a carbineer in less than 2 weeks.

What he is saying is basically a level 80 Jedi is stronger than a character just starting Jedi in the new system. I thing swg headquarters must resemble Krusty's Clown College off the Simpsons ... If you peeped in the window you would see the dev team all trying on baggy pants, and if you were real lucky you might catch Smedley the Klown trying to ride the little bike through the loop.

i dont see any comparisons to kotor at all. in kotor jedi were more powerful than any other npc type. There was no balance. Kotor > swg im afraid

"There are a lot of different levels within that [profession], so the people who've been [working down the Jedi path] for a long time will be much more powerful than the people just coming up. We're still rewarding people for their loyalty over the years." -smedley

Someone needs to pull their head out of their butt.

"Once people get in there, it's overwhelmingly positive. ..."-smedley

Hmm is this before or after they cant even complete more than three minutes of the "new content" with the falcon bug? But oh yeah that clicky combat has all the sophistication of a "Zap the aliens to win a free iPod webgame"....

on second thought, the head must be so far inserted extraction will be impossible.

"'Accessible' means that it's understandable and intuitive and there's more rewards sooner. We're trying to take the grind out of it and do that in a way that makes you feel like you're a part of the Star Wars universe. " -smedley

Hmmm, these early rewards most be something if they are going to compensate me for a gutted character, that has become a complete and total joke that any noob can resepc to in 30 seconds. Here is a clue smedster. You are scrwing your customers over sooo badly that all your BS and beads and wampum are almost insulting as teh complete lack of candor and craptastic way this was all sprung on us. You plan on scrweing vets over. To you we are acceptable losses. You dont understand your customer and you dont understand your product. And THAT is why this game has been a mediocre failure and is just heading south. THe one common thread? YOU HAVE NEVER listened to us.

an "escape" yeah sure, thats one thing they have in common, thats about it. not too sure about the hunted part though... and the space station is skippable. you didn't go to a space station in the first KOTOR btw. quest journal? erm..not quite the same but ok. there are alot of differences between the two, sure yuo can compare a piece here and there, but thats it.
