Thread: Not a petition, not a threat. A simple statement please

I will cancel both my accounts. Main reason is that there is no point grinding up to Knight to just be "a little" more powerful than a non-jedi FOTM. And I do not have the time like other powergamers to compete and get a high ranking in the Jedi council in order to gain the exponential increases in pvp power.

I hate to say it, and it's no threat, like SOE really cares what the players think, but if the revamp makes playing the Jedi I worked so hard to get, (and worked so hard to level) NOT FUN, I will have no choice but to cancel.

It's not like I want to log on all the time, and continually be reminded of how I got screwed out of so much of my time and money.

The best part for me is, I have a family who plays (I am the provider for the household) , and will GET TO HIT THE CANCEL BUTTON 7 TIMES.

At this point, I really feel like they should leave it alone, or NEVER should of allowed player Jedi, if they were just going to screw everyone over.

Again, not looking for sympathy, just a simple reply, to a simple post.

Almost every one of the complaint posts in this thread is about Jedi characters being "underpowered". Okay, fine, but aren't the Jedi skills/effictiveness designed with the so-called Combat Rebalance in mind. The Combat Rebalance is going to 'nerf' everything in the game, both PC's and NPC's/creatures.

What's the point of saying Jedi are underpowered now if you're not evenpermitted (yet)to compare stats within the context of the Combat Rebalance? Sure, there may be some specific problems, but until Publish 11is released is the overarching theme ofthese complaints even valid?

I hate to break the news to you, but there are several professions out there that have NOTHING going for them. Professions that have many broken specials and absolutely no value in PvP whatsoever (Pistoleer, Carbineer, etc.). Professions with so many broken things/content/missions, it's ridiculous (Bounty Hunter). Professions with no point whatsoever now that new droids/game mechanics have come into play (Scout, Ranger, etc.) Professions that are going to be nerfedseverely with the rebalance (Rifleman,Fencer, etc.)

The bottom line is that every profession hasits "problems", especially problems that relate directly or indirectly with theCombat Rebalance. This includes the Jedi profession. Without the proper context (which is unknown at this point) how can any argument be taken seriously and not come off as more"But, mom, I deserve to be 'uber'" whining?

Are you saying Jedi in Publish 9 may look nerfed, but really aren't once the Combat Revamp is put into effect? That in the context of the Combat Revamp, Jedi are doing well?

If so, there is a flaw in reasoning. The Devs at Fan Fest said a Knight at FRS=0 will only be "a little" more powerful than non-Jedi professions in a post-combat revamp context. In a post-combat revamp environment, Knights will not be uber 1337 d00ds.

P.S. Making Jedi only slightly better than the average profession was/is the deal breaker for me.
