you're all right and all wrong. Anakin was the chosen one, because he sacrificed himself and vader, according to the story as a whole. In 4,5,6 Luke is the one that shows anakin that is indeed still good, therefore luke brings balance. Ruling out luke winning the ls duel with vader, and him joining them, lando still blows up the deathstar either way, eradicating both sides - which if that happened, he would be the one most right to choose because he killed both sides - jedi and sith. Looking passed ep 6, leia was indeed the one who brought luke back to the light side. Also later in the timeline, there are many other jedi that bring balance, but there's always conflict.

Point: As long as there is a light jedi, there is a dark. Ying and Yang. No jedi or sith can bring balance, it's impossible.

The real Chosen one is the child of Han and Leia. You guys need to read the Star Wars books. it explains it all. Lucas is just giving his rendition of the actual books written.

Here are my two cents...Couldn't it be that Anakin has brought balance to the force, not necessarily directly, but indirectly. Whether is was Luke, Leia, or Solo kids they are all from the seed of Anakin Skywalker. Without Anakin Skywalker there is no Luke, Leia, or Solo kids.

Yes he did. I'm sorry but how stupid did the Jedi have to be to think that a Sith prophecy would mean they would survive and there would be no Dark Jedi at all.

Wrong. 2 sith and 2 jedi mean conflict within the force itself. The force was balanced when there was only 1 remaining Jedi who understood that light side and dark side were extreams.

actually what GL says is the truth Anakian was the chosen one not Luke

cannon has nothing to do with the movies and GL has the right to say or do anything with Star Wars what he says goes and what the other authors have written can be dismissed by him at any time he wants. (GL even stated this awhile back)

guess you didn't get EP3 on dvd today and hear GL, you may want to click the feature that says CHOSEN ONE on the dvd to hear it for yourself
