Whether or not you believe MULTIPLE sites is up to you guys. However there is no debating this fact...

Julio Torres clearly states in an interview that something is indeed being worked on to make a better first impression with new players. The mere fact that I brought it up and was severely flamed proves why SOE doesnt want to announce this to the community.

And why would they anyway ? This has nothing to do with us. We arent new players so its not like we're going to run out and buy it. I can see the annoyance though with some content being added (the han solo mission in falcon against jabba) for them only.

Julio Torres:

This has definitely been a challenge for our game in the past, but has come a long way, especially in terms of directing the player to what they need to be doing early-on. The first experience a player has with a game is incredibly important in terms of design because it is within this initial time frame that a player decides whether they will continue playing the game or move-on to something else. Knowing how important it is to put your best foot forward as early as possible, we are constantly looking for ways to make the game more accessible to more players and improve the overall experience. That being said, we actually have some very exciting things in the works right now to help accomplish this. Stay tuned

this coulden't be more ture... i Still remember my first day playing this game. ( one month after it was released.) i nealry gave up on swg my first day because the lag in this game is unbearable at time and this was my first mmorpg (other than planetside) so it wasn't somthing i was used to...One of the first things i did was try a delivery mission. which i had to walk because there was no vechicles in the game at the time. while i tried to walk half way across the map i started to notice how huge the maps are. soon after that i started grinding xp and credits. it diden't take long for me to get hooked after that. now like alot of people i find it harder and harder to log in each patch.

i don't mind them making the game more interesting to new players, but changing the way the rest of us have played the game for over 2 years is just going to far.

Um dude if the start kit has new content on it then why is it for only 20 bucks and top of that its been around seenJTL launch. so for one get your info right and stop making up stuff your self donts even know thats true. like for 1 saying SoE is going to try to make more of a profit off of SWG justby making jedi a starting job dude look at this link thy ready sold more then 1million copys of ToOW so i dont think thy are worrying about money proplems right now.

http://www.lucasarts.com/press/presscount.jsp?num=1

And for the first impression for new players thy ready made a starting npc showing them how to play and stuff and saying that thy might be someone important one day which is clearly showing them the road a jedi. "The road to becoming a jedi is not a easy one"

I dont doubt this for one second.

LA's facination will the almighty dollar is at the center here. Ther are wow'ed (no pun intended) with the pre-orders for both EP3 AND Battlefront 2. The pre-orders skyrocketed with the announcement that Jedi would be one of the playable classes in B2. Never underestimate the almighty dollar, for Lucas knows it well.

The "Starter Kit" is LucasArt's product.

It's the same as SWG, except the producer logo is changed from SOE to LucasArts.

The infamous description of the box on Amazon is taken from Knights of the Old Republic II (which is an error).

Be assured SoE do not have any intention of putting down this much work on SWG.

--- Cancelled 24th November 2006
Reason: The lack of multiplayer pve content and Star Wars feel.
For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

This one time at starwars camp I met this weasel that had the neck of a giraffe with the ears of an elephant and the beak of a buzzard. He told me that his uncles brothers first cousin who had the head of a dog with the tail of a squirrel and the eyes of an eagle said that Jedi were going to become a starter profession.

I would give you his name but he would probably kill me by sending his brother after me who has the speed of a cheetah, with the legs of a hosre and the arms of an octopus.

I trust you all get the picture.

Prima Strategy Guide just announced being released same day.

SOE we have a qyestion for you is Lucas Arts giving you "The Boot."

From everything form Starship Terminals and numerus bugs. This was not a normal patch.

Did you transfer this game to Lucas Arts servers. Because those bugs which recently happened ie. Jabba Palace, Starship Terminal, etc. They are corrupted game files. And, only one way that happens if you transfer from one server to another server.

So is this game now under Lucas Arts control?

I used to think that people where crazy saying jedi a starter profession.. but I dunno /shrug. if you read the description of the starter kit it says, you will have acess to the COMPLETE CONTENT (thats kinda a joke there)of star wars galaxies, those 2 words make me belive that would include jedi, unless complete to them means something else, you know how that goes, My jury is out until November 22nd, but if they are jedi out of the box and the same bh/jedi griefing system is in place, they won't play long, after exp loss and can't play the gamelike the want to. they say screw this i am gone....
