Thread: Surviving the Bounty Hunter: A guide to success UPDATED!
I think the most useful botton to hit is the one with /follow.
In this way you are always on the BH and he wastes a lot ot time trying to stay at distance while you can snare/throw/root/hit hard.
Great Post! Thanks for putting this together, and keeping it updated! ![]()
One small thing, though. I'm sure we macro veterans know what you meant, but for the new guys, there's two small syntax issues with the macros you mentioned. ![]()
The command to activate a toolbar pane is:
/ui action toolbarPanexx;
Where xx is a 2-digit number from 00-05, representing one of the six toolbar panes. Note that the keywords must be capitalized as shown.
The command to activate a toolbar button is:
/ui action toolbarSlotxx;
Where xx is a 2-digit number from 00-23, representing the function keys F1-F12 (00-11) and Shifted-F1 through Shifted-F12 (12-23).

Thank you! I never noticed it and no one pointed it out before. Rookie mistake, I'm sorry it has been fixed

Good info here... i'd like to add a few things;
-Realize that a bh cannot make you stay and fight. When you get attacked, you don't have to fight them if you don't want to. You can always run, root, cloak, snare, stasis, etc. A 30 sec root, plus a saber throw/kd can give you a great head start. You can easily get out of range, and out of combat range, pull out the bike and head for a starport. Take a breather in space...... This is of course if you have skills/food that will help you escape, forcerun, root, snare, pawin (sp) food, burst run.
We'll have to see how the cloak nerf affects some Jedi's ability to escape. I'm just about convinced that we'll have to use all of the above except cloak to escape a BH.
-Know your surroundings. Know where the nearest large water mass is. The direction and distance you have to go to get there.
-My personal fav.... make allies with powerful friends. For example, when i'm on dathomir i hardly have to worry bout BHs. Why? Well i have 5k positive faction with SMC and NS. They can be very powerful allies. If you have them as friends you can run in the middle of them and let them agro the bh. A well placed root, your saber, and the melee help of 2 or more lvl 80+ npcs can change the odds tramatically. Keep in mind the next patch will give these npcs force powers again.
The best way to gain both smc and ns as allies is to kill ns first, untill you get positive smc faction. Then head to the spider clan cave and kill them. They should give you positive ns faction. No need to worry about spider clan npcs attacking you out in the wilds of dath, they only reside in their poi cave.
