Thread: Petition to Devs: Jedi only token respec
If the jedi proffession ever became a starting proffession, I think i would finally have a reason to watch the news just to see the story about the mass suicides

no more respecs, they should never have been put in the game. The problem is that with CU so much changed that I agree that if you were TKM before CU, it was nice to try out rifles, pistols, MBH, pike and then settle on what you wanted after.
If anything, the only respecs that should occur is when a profession completely changes. I think anyone that is a master ranger should get a respec since their profession is going through a crazy revamp. But to give a jedi a respec every time one skill changes is silly.
Yes, getting to full temp takes a little time. But once you're there, takes like 2-3 weeks tops to swap templates. Oh, i know this because I'm doing it now. Grinding jedi now is just as easy as grinding any profession once you have a decent force pool. Just crank out 0044 sabers and get in an AOE group and you'll be full temp in no time, even with an hour here or there grinding and a few BH attacks.

Completing a full template in 2-3 weeks? I just dont see it happening?

/agree. Why should you be stuck with something just because some Dev had a brainfart. You should be allowed brainfarts too.
completinga full template swap in 2-3 weeks, not from sratch. I went from 0404 sabers, mdef, 0404 enhancer, healer 4000 to MLS, 0440 def, 4004 enhancer 4100 heal in 3 weeks, a few hours a day. Once i got 0424 sabers, it flew, AoE groups are insanely fast. 40k xp per lair, spinning the lair dies in 2-3mins if you have a good group.

think about it, our profession is the most frequently changed and/or nerfed prof in the game PLUS it takes 100 times longer to create our temp than reg profs
i think a token respec should be granted to us...maybe even a respec on a 6-12 month basis at the rate of our changes...

Nahh, everyone is dealing with SOE incompetence. No reason Jedi should be the only professions to get a get out of jail free card.

LOL you must be a Post-CU Nub, have you seen what Creature Handlers, Bounty Hunters and Smugglers have undergone? Probably not, stop crying that you are picked on because you have a Jedi, there have been far worse things. Here is what Jedi represents for a community:
Weaponsmiths - Can't craft you anything (self built lightsaber)
Armorsmiths - Can't craft you anything
Tailors - Can't craft you anything (Paddy Robes)
Droid Engineers - Can't craft you anything (excluding pilots)
So what if these four necessary elements in SWG start screaming about loss of business to the new Alpha class? Stop being so selfish and thinking you are the red-headed step child of SWG. Learn your profession and stop sucking at PvP, Jedi like you should have stayed FS.

Except not everyone has 40 hours a week and does not play AFK. I can grind a new non-jedi up in a few hours vs.I'm not done with my regrind after my token and it's been weeks of playtime, I started this Jedi Pre-CU. I can play a couple of hours (here and there, about 6 on a very good week right now) total. That's not including the fact that I have to split time with my money maker and crystal farmer to try and get crystals for good tunes (in the hole 65mil on just pearls, add another 10-12m for crystals, plus what I pulled myself). Oh yes, I have no problems with grinding, I was going nice slow after the 30th prof unlock. It didn't bother me. The incessant regrinding due to a lack of bugfixes, and vision does.
With risk vs reward out of line. Major power loss vs what I used to have. The fact my BH carries a better weapon that cost 1/10th or less than my saber. Changes to temps before I can finish them due to bugs not being fixed and whiners screaming... drop dead. I didn't become a Jedi to be uber and "pwn" everything. I'm not even a huge fan of PvP. Jediwas simply the nextcool thing for me to try.I didn't take cloak to be uber, no, I took it because to me it was like Alec Guinness going "These are not the droids you are looking for." Since having it, I have not used it for an alpha strike, nor to loot invisibly, but simply to go away from a fight.

sorry, I can't agree with that. It takes only a few weeks to grind out jedi now. Sure its more than grinding MPistoleer, but it isn't anything like it used to be. You should not have used your token. We have known all along that things could still change and that using our tokens would limit us in that we could not adapt if they changed them more.
