no way understanding what you do about this game you need to think a head I have altered my temp quite a few times nothing major but I have small changes and used XP to do it. It is not hard to grind out XP to change your temp. and if they ever made a huge change that is when I would use my respec. I still have mine and dont plan to use unless they make sweeping changes to Jedi.

think ahead they gave enough for free when it comes to jedi you want others skills go out and earn the XP to get them...

no way should they do this again

They also need to include a respec out of Jedi back into regular professions allowing 250sp to be spent (but keep the second character slot).

No decay + uber loot = /spit on crafters

Fix the economy and give crafters their $$$ worth... give us real revamp.

Remember... to Cancel you have to go to Register Expansion in the Launchpad.

ok here is my take on respec's.

MMORPG's biggest downfall is the grinding time, the new gen MMORPG's have the abilty to reallocate your skills, thus not having to regrind something all over again.

I feel that for this game, it should be set up like this

Crafting

Combat

Support

Jedi

I.E. a Master Rifleman can surrender combat skills to reallocate towards say Pistoleer. a Dancer can reallocate towards a ID or a doctor for support professions, and say a armorsmith can reallocate towards a Shipwright, BUT a Rifleman cant allocate to a Weaponsmith or vice versa.

When you put people into a Grinding sink, they are not out doing the fun things about a game, and some people just quit, I think its better for people to change there template within there class, instead of a person dropping out for a week or 2 to regrind a different template.

Jedi is the longest to regrind, and it is ONLY fair that people can change without regrinding with the frequent nerfs and changes coming out, When you picked a proffesion you picked it for the skills at that time, any changes (nerfs) shouldnt punish the player, but the player should be allowed to reset based upon that system.

The problem with the CU /respec was the fact that it was not planned out correctly. If it was done properly, we would not have had 50 billion jedi get to finished templates faster then it took to grind pre-cu.

We need to put the "fun" back into this game or else it will keep losing people.

I think this sounds as a good idea. Details need to be worked out but the basic idea is good IMO. I don't think there should be an instant respec like before but a more slow process. Perhaps something like, you lose a box day 1, on day1+X you can pick a new box, on day 1+X+X you get to drop a another box and so on...

SOE do not give these people Respec's all they Do is Bit*h and cry Blah blah blah... Go out there and Grind 5-7 proffesions and skip the village grind like all the Rest of us did prepub 9 , And Dont ever bring back double xp . you all need to get off your lazy butts and Grind!!!!

Ahazi Dark Jedi Knight!!!

Sorry, I had to edit your reply... don't talk about how hard the grind was. Your jedi grind may have been alot harder, but you had an easier path to unlock and start that grind. I was there grinding professions, and it was alot quicker and "easier" then doing the village.

My final account gets cancelled with the nerf. Case closed. A respec will change that.

I must admit, I am having fun with my new BH character and I might pay for another month unless I run into alot more bugged missions

love to agree seeing how I just used my token to save 8 mil from my grind i havta disagree

Instead of pushing for token respecs we should be pushing for BALANCE

Like this whole new force cloak nerf? Here is my idea of BALANCE not NERF

Let 0400 power dabblers have the nerfed version of Force Cloak with the snare and such

Let Master Powers have the Cloak we have now (can still heal and channel and such under it but no opening containers)

sorry, I can't agree with that. It takes only a few weeks to grind out jedi now. Sure its more than grinding MPistoleer, but it isn't anything like it used to be. You should not have used your token. We have known all along that things could still change and that using our tokens would limit us in that we could not adapt if they changed them more.

no more respecs, they should never have been put in the game. The problem is that with CU so much changed that I agree that if you were TKM before CU, it was nice to try out rifles, pistols, MBH, pike and then settle on what you wanted after.

If anything, the only respecs that should occur is when a profession completely changes. I think anyone that is a master ranger should get a respec since their profession is going through a crazy revamp. But to give a jedi a respec every time one skill changes is silly.

Yes, getting to full temp takes a little time. But once you're there, takes like 2-3 weeks tops to swap templates. Oh, i know this because I'm doing it now. Grinding jedi now is just as easy as grinding any profession once you have a decent force pool. Just crank out 0044 sabers and get in an AOE group and you'll be full temp in no time, even with an hour here or there grinding and a few BH attacks.
