I dropped it for force run, suppression and speed and I don't have a problem with it. Of course I run outsometimes when I PvE solo but it recharges at an ok rate. And when I'm in a group, I useually conserve my force with saber hit as default with a dervish

The best Jedi know how to manage force consumption. All channel allows you to do is get back in to the fight faster. How often does anyone channel during pvp?

Anyway, life is possible without channel. Short of about 2 months ago (picked it up to help spin for guildmates in training), I survived for over a year+ without it.

With currently Force Regen broken, it's a must. Especially when you low level (ie.. just a few novice boxes, tier 1 and 2). Otherwise you will end up waiting _hours_ for full regen, especially solo PvE.

In PvP same kind of padawan is underpowered (CL<80, no forceregen), so either run, hide, get away *or* use channeling during those fights (with/without mind/health crystals, holocrons). If you don't do it, you're dead.

As a full template with asperations in the frs you should be loaded up on ehnancer anyway, but....

I think the least imposingway one can live without channel ALONEis with the MLS/MD templates. (tanking goon)

It is no big deal to switch from pve to pvp template with it. PVE - Heal 3/0/0/0 En 0/0/0/2. PVP - Heal 2/0/0/0 enh 3/0/0/0.

And the double master makes the regen rate less of a snail race. At least enough to consider it but it will still take some getting used to.

Had channel for 1 week total and dropped it. It is an overrated skill, force management for the win...

I've never had channel and I would say its never had any effect on me other than extra downtime in solo pve. You can definately live without it.

I am actually thinking about picking it up, but mostly because I am considering dropping master defender and I would have the skill points available to get it.

You can always tell the people without channel in PVE, they just stand there doing fk all while everyone else does all the damage for them.

Channel is very useful in prolonged high end PVE to reduce downtime for the group. I'm hoping theres is going to be alot more of it in the new expansion.

1 channel and you have lost the duel.

It's a hole you cant get up from before your mind is drained and you are dead.

I have actually won duels with that with my MHealer/MEnhancer/4004LS template, just becouse my opponent made an accidental channel.

Are you just making stuff up now? Explain to me how rooting you with Imp Suppression, moving 35m away, and channeling gives you even the slightest advantage? An "accidental" channel is implying that the person 1) didn't know what they were doing, or 2) didn't mean to do it at all. That sort of negates the concept of "force management". I assumed that the original poster would use the skill judiciously, not just randomly press the key. If you have two similar templates duel, one with channel, and one without, the channeler should come out on top, simply from a longevity standpoint. If he uses channel randomly with no attention paid to both the state of himself and his opponent, yeah, it can be a liability, but lets bet that the average person with the skill will have at least a modicum of ability with which to use it.
