A simple answer to a larger problem.I guess SOE will accept your application now, your perfect for the job.

That's the last thing they want...I'd actually fix all the problems and make this all make sense. Then what would they do when they had all the new customers?

Well, I dont trust that you would. Your lay down attitude of simply "Store your bike" does relay a strong determination to fix the game.

Ok...then why is your bike, that can be called instantly now, out when grinding lairs? Two things inherently wrong with this. 1. Having your bike out will just make the BH shoot the bike first. 2. It's completely unneeded to have a bike out when grinding a lair.

Solution: Store your bike.

or, should we ruin another profession and destroy the integrity of our own profession by removing all semblence of challenge and risk. You can't ask to be stronger than another profession if you don't have anything that earns you that right. The length of a grind is irrelevant, but that the power is offset by a risk, that is what enables you to have more strength.

So get this I will add to this... since people are saying "You can heal it .. gives visibility" --

Well so I did this.. I went around seeing what I can heal ...

Well off the bat -- once again the sometimes working bug -- I can heal the back packs in my house -- outstanding my back pack now gives visibility... NOW there is somthing most intresting... BUT WAIT there is more.

I was able to heal the Hunting Trophey Heads on mounts in my house.. Ok.. now this one is somewhat twisted...

I have a better chance of thinking the back pack called vader and gave me visibility then the dead snake head on a wall in my house.

lol, Bikes giving visibility just because you can heal it... Im sorry there is alot more in the game that I can infuse --that I just cant think would give me visibility. (or gosh -- hope not).

My back pack told on me...lol.

I suggest someome go on the test server and test it. Report detailed results and then I will believe a bike give vis. It might, but it's got to be a bug if it does and I'm inclined to believe it doesn't, until someone proves it. It's silly; people say something based on nothing but their gut feelingand other people start believing it. Just because someone got vis and decided it had to be their bike that gave it to them does not make it so.

We need a vis Bar.That would be very helpful.

Corpses gave visibility pre-CU, I'm positive of that.

And I really doubt the devs sought to "fix" this w/ the CU. Don't think its very high on their priority list.

The visibility rules are stupid as there are now, they need to be changed.

NPC and player corpses do give visibility.
Grouped players do not give visibility, no matter if you duel them or not.
Line of sight never influenced visibility, if you are closer than 32m to a visibility-giver and using a visibility-giving action, you will get the visibility - no matter if there are walls around you or not.

Or.... just fix the bug that your own vehicle (or any vehicle) gives you vis. I know it is far fetched but hey, it could work.

I agree that inanimate objects should not give viz. And I agree that the permanent answer to vehicles (or my droids, ffs!) giving viz isn't simply to store the vehicle. But it's a workaround until the problem is addressed by the devs. Until then, b!itching about vehicles giving viz but doing nothing about it (e.g., storing the bike) is almost as moronic as the flaming going on between you and Jacella.

The old rule of thumb, for safety's sake, used to be "If it can be harvested, it doesn't give viz. Everything else does." That's therule Iplay by. Even though I don't much care about viz any more (and am not full template yet, even so), I still do to the simple, easy things like ... unequipping my saber when not in combat, turning off toggled force powers, like force run, before getting on my bike, and storing my bike when I get to the next place where I might do some of that Jedi stuff. These things aren't so difficult if you make a habit of them.

When, or if, the devs decide to A) openly disclose the visibility rules, and B) remove visibility from things that make no bloody sense at all (I'm sure the Palpy One has teams of necrologists running around examining the memory engrams of corpses to see if they were killed by a Jedi; /rollseyes), then we can take a more logical, and less paranoid approach to visibility.

Until then, if you care about visibility, be paranoid about it.

Duels will give you visibility and last I checked people were reporting that corpses were not giving visibility butplayer vehicles will give visibility.

LMAO!!! How does a vehicle give you vis? That is just too funny. Some of the game mechanics are just totally odd.
