SOE is part of Sony, it is a public company and I'm pretty sure there is no single "owner". Public companies have stockholders and boards of directors.

Perhaps it would be more effective, if there is no other course of action, to simply start a media/public relations campaign... this game does allow for a great deal of player griefing, at the very least some sort of consumer alert might be in order.... "Get this game and be prepared to be griefed online". That's really what it's about, this whole Jedi/BH thing. Gives some players ample opportunity to grief other players.

In every game there is oppurnities to "grief" players as you call it, this as already been "fixed" by not giving a name of the jedi before he actually gets there. This way , you couldn't kill the same jedi over and over again.

By being a jedi, you knew you would get hunted by other players, just like when you declare you expose yourself to the ennemy. Don't want to expose yourself to "grieffing", don't go overt or don't be a jedi.

You must be the only BH who hasn't figured out how to go and pick up the same Jedi's mission easily. Its just like reading their name with this system if you are a remotely observant BH.

Hello,

As you can see from the thread that Garva started today, there is growing animosity between the playerbase and the development team, as can be seen from any number of negative threads started due to the changes in publish 24.

I would like to know if there is anything, ANYTHING at all, that we as players can do to actually get one of you guys to come to the forums and engage in a polite, serious, and mature discussion about the direction that the game is going, and why are things being done that pretty much open the door to all kinds of player griefing on the part of the new MBH/SL/CM templates.

If there is a proper way of asking for such a discussion to take place, please let us know what it is...

Yours respectfully,

p.c.

See, we got to call them names and stuff

I hate Gungans, I hate Ewoks and I hate Jawas....so why am I a Rebel you ask? It is my overriding hate of the MAN !!!

Pre CU Jedi and Day 2 Vet since the game didnt work on day one.

www.bbb.org

if you feel that SOE is treating you unfairly file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. the EULA may be very tight but this game has been one lie after another. SOE never tells us their intentions and the game is constantly changing. the BBB can investigate this. check out there website and file a complaint with them it may be all we can do.

Well, for one thing, there are players out there who are motivated enough to grief all other players they can, it doesn't even have to be a specific person, it can just be the first person whose mission they get.

You seem to think that you are making a new and astonishing announcement by saying that Jedi should know they can be hunted. Well, geez, I'm glad you're here to tell us that, I don't know what we would do without your little pearl of wisdom. The only problem with that is that most Jedi who don't want to be BH's content can easily find ways to obfuscate any would-be BH that will work 99% of the time... then the little BH's go and whine on the BH board... because they want their marks to be handed to them on a silver platter.

Cute

Do I really seem to think that ?

I'm not even gonna bother , sometimes people need a reminder, and what it means to become a jedi. Hell, just read the thousands of idiot post on this very forums. Then wonder why I have to "annouce" it . Not for you , as you seem to know and sound somewhat smart, but to all the OMGPWZOR kids who seem to want to tell me how uber they should be and they should of never die that would be tempted to post in this thread.

Since I deal with this stuff all day....here is some info....

Sony Corporation is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange (SNE is the ticker symbol). However, SOE is a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Digital. The president of SOE is John Smedley, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) is Russel Shanks and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is John Needham. Address of SOE is:

8928 Terman Ct.
San Diego, CA 92121

Phone: 858-577-3100
Fax: 858-577-3313

Sony Pictures Digital is a segment of Sony Pictures Entertainment which is a subsidiary of the publically traded company noted above. So each one of these entities has many layers of executives. The ones I listed above (which is public information) would be the ones having the most direct knowledge of the game, although I am sure they are even removed far from the details. The executives as Sony Corp. would have no idea what is going on here until it has a material effect on the net income of the company where they would take notice. Hope this helps, let me know if you are looking for other info.

Roden

Maybe byallowing people the ability to fight back, or at least survive even if by being able to run, they would have had less outrage. It probably should have been playtested more (I'm not going to blame SL here, they deserve a boost) but they didn't do that. They created a situation wherein, with lag, in six to twelve seconds (accounting for lag) your incapped. You're probably incapped before you can even find the direction of fire. This is not fun. Somehow I feel a Douglas Adams quote about futilitywould go well right here, but this isn't a joke.
