Thread: A polite request for Garva/Tiggs/Thunderheart/Rogue Five
A moderated discussion in which players are only allowed to participate so long as they agree to keep it polite, mature and very civilized would possibly help ease off some of the player discontent.
But, then again, this probably isn't the first time we wish they would just come out and talk to us directly and explain what they are actually trying to do. Otherwise, many players simplify things in ways that perhaps are not entirely fair to the developers ("the devs want to kill the Jedi and force them off the game").

Kick a few rocks and find our correspondent to set this up. We do have one don't we?
Yeah but he can only do so much, I think that if the devs actually communicated with him more on a weekly bases perhaps people would be a little less aggresive. As it is the Jedi forums is a laughing stock with everyone, devs, mods other proffesion boards.
Hehe, you guys have me lmao. It's fun to watch a profession impale itself. Who in SOE would want to help after what they have endured on these threads today?

Hello,
As you can see from the thread that Garva started today, there is growing animosity between the playerbase and the development team, as can be seen from any number of negative threads started due to the changes in publish 24.
I would like to know if there is anything, ANYTHING at all, that we as players can do to actually get one of you guys to come to the forums and engage in a polite, serious, and mature discussion about the direction that the game is going, and why are things being done that pretty much open the door to all kinds of player griefing on the part of the new MBH/SL/CM templates.
If there is a proper way of asking for such a discussion to take place, please let us know what it is...
Yours respectfully,
p.c.
This is already adressed, anddiscussions (mature ones) as to what can be done. It's in the SL forums...

I'm pretty sure that Sony is a public company, but Lucasfilm/Lucasarts are private.
Perhaps it would be more effective, if there is no other course of action, to simply start a media/public relations campaign... this game does allow for a great deal of player griefing, at the very least some sort of consumer alert might be in order.... "Get this game and be prepared to be griefed online". That's really what it's about, this whole Jedi/BH thing. Gives some players ample opportunity to grief other players.
In every game there is oppurnities to "grief" players as you call it, this as already been "fixed" by not giving a name of the jedi before he actually gets there. This way , you couldn't kill the same jedi over and over again.
By being a jedi, you knew you would get hunted by other players, just like when you declare you expose yourself to the ennemy. Don't want to expose yourself to "grieffing", don't go overt or don't be a jedi.

Very intelligent. Then you wonder why they don't come on the boards and listen to what you have to say ?

Well, for one thing, there are players out there who are motivated enough to grief all other players they can, it doesn't even have to be a specific person, it can just be the first person whose mission they get.
You seem to think that you are making a new and astonishing announcement by saying that Jedi should know they can be hunted. Well, geez, I'm glad you're here to tell us that, I don't know what we would do without your little pearl of wisdom. The only problem with that is that most Jedi who don't want to be BH's content can easily find ways to obfuscate any would-be BH that will work 99% of the time... then the little BH's go and whine on the BH board... because they want their marks to be handed to them on a silver platter.
