Situation 1:
Krayts stay lvl 80-92
Pearl levels change
All "Good" pearls that sold for 1mil, are now flawless
Jedi whine (for good reason)
Jedi whine (for good reason)
Situation 2:
Krayts are re-leveled to:
Juvy- 82
Adolescent- 85
Canyon- 88
Grand- 92
Giant Canyon- 119 (qualities)
Ancient- 287 (premium/flawless)
That makes the most sense, and would probably be the easiest to implement without killing the fun of krayt hunting for casual passerby or tissue hunters.
The level doesn't matter. The damage it puts out doesn't matter (AI). It's the HAM that will make the difference on whether it is as easily farmed as pre-cu, or a grand celebration when killed.
[edit] btw, let DWB NPCs drop other loot besides liquids... I'd rather kill 500 and get 1 liquid and 20 SEAs than kill 500 and get nothing.

The "rare" pearls are simply ones which dropped from very high level creatures. What changed was that combat upgrade altered the levels of creatures. So where a pearl might before have been considered "premium" because it dropped from a level 287 creature, now it isn't considered premium because the creature dropping the pearl isn't level 287 any more.
The possible stats that a pearl can give you are the same, regardless of the pearl quality. The only advantage a "premium" pearl gives you is a better chance of getting higher stats. "Fixing pearls" would be a matter of changing the level ranges for different quality pearls. This would be a retroactive change which would suddenly change all the pearls in the game to be high-level pearls, increasing the power of Jedi globally and almost instantly - Unless we simultaneously lowered the advantage of premium pearls so that they don't give as much an increase to the odds of getting higher stats as they do now.
We would rather keep the premium pearls as they are - highly desirable and much better (in terms of the odds of getting higher stats) than normal pearls, but not drop them as casually as they dropped in the past. These should be rare, elite quest rewards and very high-end, elite-monster drops - not things that players "farm" from creatures that are no match for the player.
Spokenlike a true Bounty Hunter who has never had the same Bounty Hunter come after them 5 times in one hour so they can't even enjoy the game.
No wonder the population is deserting ![]()

I could live with that.
Although as we have seen in the past people will always find some way to farm them.
I like the quest rewards, butit should be that you can only do that quest once per a certain amount of time.

I wonder if she means they are there now?
Doubt that as she metioned they would be linked to elite quests which sounds like ToOW.

slightly off topic but this lends a lot of validity to the theory that pearl stats are pre-determined and tuning only reveals those stats.
Then the same pearls and crystals I have on TC and Bria (when its live Bria would tune ecactly the same...
So far out of 60 or more that is not remotely true.
just make aicents lvl 500 ![]()
I am sure no one would complain (especally the smuggler/ rifleman)
