I agree with you, it makes sense. Plus, if it were the full game it would cost more... but if you read the discriptions there are definantly some strange discriptions, and remember, those discriptions are usually provided by the producer.

not neccesarily...soe makes 99 percent of their profits off the subscriptions you pay every month, and if their lucky they see 1% of profits in game sales.... If you were going to change the game to gain mass appeal and cut the road to jedi, a cheap starter pack would be the marketing idea....they want the product out there so more subscriptions come online. you have to remember to make a game costs alot of money, to make a copy of costs 4 cents...and if they do this to jedi, its a boot in the face, not a slap.

The non-release of Kotor:SWG has its own book too.

Why do people pay to play a MMORPG but not want to interact with other people?
Why, SOELA, why? Did the entire management join a cult, and at the same time perform home lobotomies?
It takes less time to look at the stickies than to ask a question and wait for sarcastic replies. So please oh PLEASE ask the same question many times. I enjoy the sarcastic remarks.

Call into gamestop and ask if it's avialable for pre-order. IF it was just an online mistake, why would stores (so far wal-mart, cd universe, gamestop, barnes & noble, amazon.com, and a handfull of others) have it listed in their inventory computers? At the gamestop store where I checked it there was even a box display, saying on the front "Star Wars Galaxies, Starter Kit"

Your sig's changes today reflect how we are all starting to feel, not die to changes, but due to SOE's arrogant attitude towards their dedicated CUSTOMER base.

For some reason this is what I think it is.....

The amazon listing had the wrong details, thats a given. So forget that.

The other websites I have seen elude to this.....

The "Starter Kit" is the Original SWG + JTL. It costs 20 bucks. The "Total Experience" includes SWG/JTL/ROTW and costs around 30ish bucks. I have a feeling that soon we will see a "Super-Duper-Deluxe Total Experience" that will Include SWG/JTL/ROTW/ToOW and will run around 50 bucks and will probably include some perk that us Vet's have been asking for since day 1.

I doubt this is some new game, or even new content (unless they change it so the new player tutorial gets them as far as CL30 or something. There's no mention of being a Jedi from the get go either. I think the "Starter Kit" is exactly what it claims to be. SWG + JTL (JTL was originally supposed to be a part of SWG but was pushed back and made into our first expansion.)

That, I can believe. 1 Player offline solo playable with Jedi as a starting prof.. no way.

That would explain why it's price is 20 bucks. That would explain why we see ad's for it on multiple sites. Sorry that doesn't feed any conspiracies but after actually looking at the ad's, I really think this is just a SWG+JTL "Starter Kit" not "New Content for offline play"

There is no peace, there is anger.
There is no fear, there is power.
There is no death, there is immortality.
There is no weakness, there is the Dark Side. I am the Heart of Darkness.
I know no fear, but rather I instil it in my enemies. I am the destroyer of worlds.
I know the power of the Dark Side. I am the fire of hate.
All the Universe bows before me, I pledge myself to the Darkness.
For I have found true life, in the death of the light.

Well I for 1 hope it IS real and it includes SWG, JTL, ROTW, AND ToOW. Why? While I did preorder ToOW and pay 30 when this starter kit might offter it and everything else for only 20, hopefully such a great buy would bring new players to the game, which is good. So I'm going to look beyond the selfishness of saying "its not fair that I paid 30 when they'll get everything for 20" and be glad to have new people comming into SWG.

PS: Yes, like Vegitaa above me, I copied and pasted this statement in all 3 threads regarding the starter kit

Two things, one it's not sir

Second, I was just speculating on the advertising worded on the box that states you choose light or dark when you start on the box, the recent rumors from multiple sources, the odd changes to combat, ect. I only suspect some major changes are coming soon if this is true, and to call me a moron for speculating on odd occurances is uncalled for.

GAH stop the vicious cycle!
