My initial thought is that Jedi can read mind. That's why a high level in force mastery should make Jedi easily aware of your past leading to know your template for example.
About NPC loot I never said Jedi can see them. I was just talking about quest NPC that give items to be transported or who have items they give as a reward. But well it's just an idea. If you think about it being overpowered give me new ideas so I can replace it and put something else in.
About Force Examine, even if everything is vulnerable to LS, Jedi are better friend of Nature than ranger. But it should perhaps be a part of a particular tree only. Give ideas.
About Vader, Luke ... I agree. But Jedi also detect themselves in Extended Universe without these strong relations. By the way it seems really concentration requiring. So perhaps some restrictions should also be included.
Finally I think you are right on some points. I don't want Jedi to become the farmers of the galaxy. I'm just trying to give Jedi abilities to feel Jedi as well as good FRS evolution possibilities. This post is my work in that direction and is under constant evolution. Don't take me wrong i'm an fervent denfender of a game well balanced where Carabineers and other weak professions of today will be very fun tomorrow.

I want some boxes to be free unlocks like they do with pilots after completing a mission.

There are a few factors contributing to how easily u can dectect jedi.
1. How well you know them obviously family members or close friend/accquintnces would easily recognize each other through the force, also making them easier to sense.
2. If a jedi is useing the force then they'd light up your radar a bit more, stealth is an excellent idea but i think jedi who aren't using forcepowers/speciels should be harder to detect than those who are.
3. Obviously to find someone who is hiding or your not familiar with you'd have to conentrate a bit especially over long distances. Force seek should resemble ranger area track in this matter.
4. More expierienced jedi could completely shut themselves off from the force, leaving them blind but unable to be detected by other jedi for the most part. While force stealth is running jedi should not only be not regenerating force(or at a gimped rate at least) but shouldn't be able to use force powers without instantly breaking force stealth.
5. A bit more about force stealth, it still should give visability within the 32m range when activated. But it could also work similar to mask scent for creatures and npc's. The higher level the npc the more chance it has to detect you, seein as it is more intelligent and self-aware.

got no problem with examine showing stuff like creature info, template, and buffs, but i really can't see a valid game reason for seeing the friends list.
it's been i while since i was a ranger so correct me if i'm wrong, but the basic resist on npc's can be seen with no scouting ability at all, and the other info is mostly relevant for harvesting, with the exception of if the creature deathblows, and based on the amount of grinding needed to unlock i'd assume most jedi already have a pretty good idea of the mobs that do deathblow.
as for quests, don't npc's that have quests available have that little blue circle with an exclamation point above their heads?
the connection between the skywalker clan was why they could passively sense each other, and why luke could "talk" to leia who was fs but untrained. actively searching would make sense for people without those bonds.
aside from that i like what you've come up with.

Leia had absoloutely 0 force training in the movies. The reason why luke could talk with her was because they were twins, they basically developed together and that formed a bond with them in the force.

I'll think about these ideas and modify to whole to implement that.
By the way i'd like to mention it's already stated that any use of the force or LS special would break Force Stealth isn't it?
EDIT: my bad it's not, i totally forgot it even if it was totally clear in my mind lol
It'sll go like this at next update:
Force Stealth
command: /forceStealth
force cost: 0 but stops the regeneration of the force while active
gives visibility: yes if NPC/PC within 32m
restriction: can't be cast during the 60s following a use of any force power or LightSaber special
effect: try to prevent you from being seen by a Jedi /forceSeek (works like a scout mask scent)
related abilities:
- Force Stealth: percentage of success to remain stealth went a Jedi reads the force to detect presences
side notes:
- using /forStealth works like a switch, use it again to cancel it
- if your ability is high enough it also makes you appear (physically talking) neutral with an empty /examine to anyone but knights (perfect to travel peacefully)
- you get a 100% success Force Stealth after each load of the user interface (when switching planets etc) during 20s

You are a little right about rangers usefullness when talking about Jedi. But have you ever seen any Jedi needing a ranger to find something in Starwars? Do you think it fits Starwars world? If so please do some input to expose your ideas to modify that so it is story matching.
