I am kind of tired of the "you havent read the EULA, so you cant blame SOE" thing....

It would work if I wasnt a CUSTOMER This has nothing to do with read or not something, and everything to do with making this game better (and keeping their customers happy and stuck with it)

If I follow this line of logic, I would, tomorrow, make a fancy homepage, promissing the best MMO game of all times, with everything you dreamed and more, and then make everyone sign an EULA in which I say "the environment and experience may change", and put a text MUD instead to everyone play, and then someone can come and say "Well, they are right!! You havent read the EULA? The environment may change!!! And it has!!!", and keep paying for the game because, hey, its not the dev team's fault, its my fault I have signed the damn thing!!! So, just what I can do is keep paying for it!! Damn, they got me!!!! (sorry, if I am not that stupid, to eat an argument in which I must be content with a crappy game only because they told me that *maybe* the game could be or became crappy). I am customer, I pay the game to be improved, not the contrary.

The point is the nerfs are making this game unbeareble to Jedis, the game is becaming worst, and worst and claiming "hahahaahha, you havent read the little letters!!!" do not help in making me a happy customer, in contrary.

I just wonder, if the dev team responsible for the Jedis are the same who proposed the divided xp and are the responsible for Jabba's Place. It seens very likely because I see a pattern in here... (OH MY GOD, SOE HAS HIRED THE JACKASS CREW TO DEVELOP THE JEDIS AND FRS!!!!!)

You get the bitter person of the year award! Congratulations you also get a flawed logic award too.
Look your saying,

"and keep paying for the game because, hey, its not the dev team's fault, its my fault I have signed the damn thing!!! So, just what I can do is keep paying for it!! Damn, they got me!!!! (sorry, if I am not that stupid, to eat an argument in which I must be content with a crappy game only because they told me that *maybe* the game could be or became crappy)."

Are you really that niave? C'mon. You mean to tell me that your are surprised and dissappointed that a corporate conglomerate cares more about new subscribers than you? Its called a free market, free enterprise. You are not forced to continue paying no matter how much money or time you have already put into this GAME. You are free to leave, albiet upset and dissapointed, but nonetheles free to cancel.

Your point would be better taken if this was a cell phone company who violated their promises while you (the consumer) were under contract. YOU ARE NOT UNDER CONTRACT. Hate SOE for destroying the game you fell in love with,ok! Hate the current dev team for not having a vision and being tools, OK! But to suggest that you are stuck with a game is rediculous.

Lastly, you said "I am customer, I pay the game to be improved, not the contrary." Sorry to break it to you, but you pay to have the right to play whatever it is they decide to publish and YOUR expectations (same as mine) is that we HOPE the game continues to improve. When/if SWG reaches a point where the product is unacceptable, you have the right to vote with your pocketbook and cancel.

Well, then its your turn to read the little letters. The payment which you make is not "to have the right to play the game" only, that would be VERY idiotic, it would send you to a game which would not improve and therefore lose customers (*that* is a corporate thinking). If you read the 'little letters' you will see that they state that the monthly paymen IS to make the game better!!! Your logic would work if it was a park lot, but it is not!

This kind of behavioris the kind of behavior of not-very-smart consumer. We must ask for improvements, not the contrary, as you claim. THAT seens illogical (to sit and wait).

Its not being naive to wait the big company make happy customers. Why, then, others MMOs do not have this problem? you know, I have played Matrix before SOE coming, I laughed *a lot* when I started toread in the forums (after SOE assume the game) things like : "What a hell is going on in here, the devs became deaf suddenly? I sent then a problem with 'x' and they answered 'y'??!!?!?", it was really funny...

So wat you're telling me is that SOE is in this for your enjoyment? Ultimatly? Ideologically, Sony got into the MMO business to make people happy and to make people happy by making a great game?

I think, sony like any other company got into this to make money by having a superior product. Their problem is they have not hired the best people to guide this ship and now it is falling apart. See Jim Collins' book "Good to GREAT."

Also, any statement or terms that say anything like "monthly fees are to make the game better" (I highly doubt this is anywhere in any printed material,) would be highly subjective and open to interpretation. No, this company's #1 problem is the quality of people running the show. The hiring process is flawed. It snowballs downhill from there. This is evident in the recent survey company that interviewed a focus group in san Fran recently to find out what consumer impressions are and the current state of the game.

As for using the revenue per end user. It goes towards a lot of things (as I'm sure you know). I agree it would be a bad business model if they were not spending the $$ towards improving the game. I think THEY think they are improving the game, see above paragraph as to why this is NOT happening.

i don not claim that the consumer must not have a voice as you falaciously have stated. Instead I submit the consumer is ultimatly powerless to MAKE any real or lasting changes if their requests fall on deaf ears other than cancelling. If you are not happy with your cable service, you can complain. If they refuse to do anything, you can cancel and go to satelite sevice. Alone this means nothing to their company, but as more subscribers choose to follow, the company would be forced to change. Free market.

Been here since day 2 of SWGs life span. And I can tell you as a player I have been shafted left and right from the start. in the first three months I was attempting to get master pistoleer. it was one of the meanest professions out there, until armor was fixed and doc buffs appeared so players could wear that armor. I got half way through grinding pistoleer before I realized its powers was indirectly nerfed to oblivion. pre CU and pre CH OMEGA nerf, if it had medium armor the pistoleer was dead; no questions asked.

Not having fun I changed my profession goal to master commando. They got a torch and blows things up. The first commando I saw got his a$$ handed to him by a corellian butterfly because every single last skill mod in commando didn't work at all. The devs eventually fixed them and commando was slowly becoming an FOTM prof with its one trick pony, the flame thrower. Right after the CH nerf the devs in all of their wisdon doubled, and possibly tripled, all professions defensive mods. Commando di huge amounts of damage when they hit. those defensive mods nulified commandos ability to fight at all, so I went TKA. They got uber-fied a month earlier and were perfect for holo grinding.

Then came this wonderful new armor, composite where 80% kinetic resistance was possible. TKA was nerfed to puke as an offensive fighter. I got my butt handed to me by a defense stacking pistoleer fencer/CM combo only wearing three pieces of this armor. I tried to compensate with commandos flame dot, heavy weapons, grenades, and different TKA fighting tactics. Nothing worked and game balanced was trashed. After that I decided to go after jedi, it was apparently the only thing that appeared to work in SWG as a decent combat profession. I picked up doctor and ground through every combat prof and suffered the nerf bat to a mayority of them as soon as I got it.

The 125 defense cap kinda killed the D stackers power, but the new FOTM was the CM by then. The Demon profession that made the devil proud. the pre CU combat medic could slaughter an entire PvP fight force in three ticks of its poison/disease, leaving them all blackbarred and unable to fight. A CM could stop PvP battles in a matter of seconds.Even jedi wern't safe. it took 4 hits of their cure all states to get rid the CMs dots. On the radient server it was known as Teh Nasty. After seeing that I contented my self with grinding all the crafting profs until I unlocked. this game was so screwed and only favered the PvP obsessed.

I got jedi and guess what, patch9 and10 hit. thats the jedi revamp that sopposedly sopposedly balance jedi with the rest of the combat profs. It just turned jedi into the punching bag for the melee BH. Jedi ate ranged fighters for breakfest while melee ate jedi for breakfest. I got it right when the nerf bat hit. And to add insult to injury for grinding 32 profs I had to wait through patch nine to do the paddy trials, then begin my grind.

Fast forward to the CU. I am again nerfed in power and learn very fast the the heavy swordsman is a jedi's bane, even Mdefenders. It wasn't as bad as I thought though every thing else has been changed to, so its time to go out and discover the new game balance. To my horrer the next few months I would witness the repeat of past mistakes AKA small profession nerfs that would eventually lead to what the CU was attempting to correct. Healing nerf, snare changes, lack of pearls to compete, and other nerfs I can't remember at the moment. On top of that jedi was only glased over in the CURB leaving massive flaws in the disiplines. If you didn't have some form of defender you were dead. This with the poor skill allocation system that jedi uses has curbed jedi's power to squat. Only the defender/enhancer combo templates can eek out a decent gamaing existance now and CM is still the devil incarnate in SWG.

Now I played the game through all those nerfs and took every one of them in strike, mainly because I has the ability to change my template to something else if it was just that bad. I also had a blast along the way, kicking back with friends, doin hunts, dungeon delving, and just goofin off. In my opinion you will not find an MMO community like SWGs in any other MMO game out there. Now its the only reason I come back to play SWG. Its the only thing that makes SWG a game worth playing, cause honestly Star Wars Galaxies is one of the worst put togather games I have ever played in my life. And I have been an avid game player since nintendo's 1943 made by NAMCO.

Focusing on the things that work in SWG is what let me stay long enough to collect fond memories of all the people that I have rolled with for the last two and a half years. But enough is enough. Most of my crew has left for other games driven away by all these nerfs and continued nerfing. Along with them the fun has left as well, and any attempts to make new friends just digresses down to watching the nubs get pwn't by the baddies. Its experiences I have already gone through and cannot share with them on that level. For this vet my time is done and my account expires on november 29.

A person can put up with the constant changing and poor product quality for so long. For the few that find SWG fun, more power to you and I hope you have a blast rolling with the people you meat. But after seeing a comercial for some of the newer games comming out I realized just how horribly put togather SWG was.

So, the bottom line is: They dont have to make us happy, because they are a big corporation, and, well... its free market... Be silent, be a lamb or quit...They can treat you like **edit**, and all money that *I* invested on it cant (and shouldnt) mean a thing. In other hand, I need to keep paying it to make THEM happy, or else quit...

God, I love to be in a country who have laws in which the consumer has a voice!!!!

I see now, the problem is not SOE, but the very passive consumers in here....

But your logic fails when some of the most inteligent consumers (who knows the value of their money) start to 'rant' about some crappy change and makes them move back (well, if they dont care, if the consumers must comphreend that they are powerless lambs, why then getting back what it was? Like in the case of divided xp?).

On DaoC the ppl complained about the changes (lets call it the "CU of DAoC") and they put a new server with the old system. By your logic, they did all wrong....

The only thing who keeps the ppl playing in here is the Star Wars background. Nothing more. Its GL world who makes it works, not SOE, believe me. EQ 2 is one of the most criticized MMO games of the world (and its a pioneer) and Matrix is now a void (after SOE came).

SWGwas the best MMO I played, but everyday it gets worst, different of others games whom start crappy and improve with the time.

What keepes me playing? Two things, friends and hope. The last one is slowing fading.....
