Was this really a gamebreaking issue?

The problem is... Lack of communication as usual from the DEVs, they should publish every intended change and add on (and what they take away) instead of more or less announce some changes. But we aren't trusted to know much and therefore we don't get much information.

I can confirm that this is absolutely not the case.

Saber Crafting Tools only become No Trade when they are used to craft a saber, not before.

5 minutes ago I:

- Logged in my jedi

- Crafted a saber crafting tool

- Dropped it in my alts house

- Logged in my alt

- Picked up the tool

- And placed it on a vendor for sale

- I logged my jedi back in

- He bought the tool

- Started the tool

- selected a schem

- cancelled the process with out putting any resources in the tool

- The tool became No Trade at this point

Is this old news? I didn't see it in the front page of the jedi forum (which probably represents the last 5 minutes of discussion )

As a merchant (who doesn't even play my jedi), this sucks. As a jedi, it must suck more...

Well, even if it were feasible or possibleto have someone else make me a saber, my crystals and pearls would still bite.

I certainly wouldn't have the satisfaction of making it myself.

Makes sense really if you think about it carefully. I mean how would anyone not trained in the Jedi arts know how to make tools too craft lightsabers?

ok, on friday, i crafted a ls tool. it had the little "no trade" thing on it, but after that, i bought one off a vendor. that one had the no trade on it too. i think buying them is still alright. when i first saw that tho, i thought the same thing as u.

Hmm - seems to be a discrepancy here. I asked a friend to verify, and she created a tool, then said it was no-trade (before she used it). Is it still tradeable even though it says no trade (maybe until you use it)? Honestly, that would be a good way to prevent the exploit without shutting down merchants like me. Maybe there's a bug in the code (/gasp) that made it so the two of you could craft tools with different results?

This would be great news if what you're saying is correct and my friend is mistaken (or crafted the tool differently or something). Anyone else able to test this?

You can still drop them in say a guild used pa and others can pick them up.

Even after they're used, or before they're used (since patch 24). I was told you couldn't even drop them in houses after they're no-trade...

Wish I could go test this myself, but I can't today...
