We really alternate end games is what the game is missing. You should be able to be a Mandolrian maybe an IMperial guard, a Night Sister you know maybe add actual rebel Marine and Imperial Stormtropper proffessions or a GCW that allows non-Jedi (Jedi improvements should be in the FRS system) to actually go up ranks and gain maybe some new gear/skills or power going up to the rank of Rebel General and IMperial Admiral. Wow a GCW with apurpose imagine that. Anyway I like the cpl ideas you suggessted and truly i believe this is what is missing from the game more end game.

Most people become jedi because it is the class everyone wants to be. But if they had an option to become mando or soemthing else (that would also give alt toon) I am sure it would cut down on alot of the upcoming jedi. People want jedi cause they think they will be all powerful but if the option was there to do a different class with the same kinda "power" the jedi are supposed to have it could work.

Excellent point. These other alpha classes should reward with an alternate, unlocked character. That was the SOLE reason I unlocked, I wanted a Tailor for my own twisted clothing needs, but also really enjoyed my Master Architect/Master Artisan/Dancer/Merchant and my melee tank character. I only decided to actually pursue the Jedi path because I unlocked pre-CU and knew that otherwise my tank would be useless as a padawan continuing life as a TKM/M. Swords, because at that time, any death from PvE would set me back in Jedi xp, which I didn't want in case I ever wanted to start grinding Jedi.

And I don't know if this has been addressed as I've only read half the thread, but these other alpha classes, will they be "punished" for choosing their path as the Jedi are, with bounty hunters/xp loss/etc?

I like the idea and agree that more end-game content is needed. However, more alpha classes would lead to even more of a 2-tier game with "normals" complaining that alphas are ruining gcw play, pvp, etc., just like the jedi are doing now. So there still needs to be a way to incorporate the two levels of classes for a cohesive game otherwise it will become another series of "nerf mandalores!" just like we hear about jedi now.

It's already been mentioned elsewhere (GCW forum I believe) having another level of status a player could select that is beyond combatant and special forces, which could help separate the alphas.

Here's an idea to throw in the mix:

Cyborg

After completing the village quests, the old man visits again. Once again, an additional dialogue option may be presented to the player. If chosen, then:

Old Man: I've spoken with the other village leaders and although you successfully helped the village and you certainly have a connection to the force, it seems that there is more to you than meets the eye.

Player: What do you mean?

Old Man: I'm embarassed we didn't notice this earlier, but with all of the sith attacks, we've been very busy as you are well aware of. I don't know how to put this delicately, but you are a created being. Very advanced, but a synthesis of flesh and technology so advanced that it reacts to things such as bacta, poison, diseases, in a manner virtually indistinguishable from true organics.

*** at this point give the player an option of choosing either:

a) No, that's impossible. I'm alive, I have parents, a childhood and memories -- you must be wrong.
b) If that's true, then who made me?

If the player chooses A, then the old man asks them once more "are you sure?". Player needs warned that if this decision will prevent them from choosing the cyborg class in the future. If the player persists in denying this, then he apologizes for upsetting them, says that they he must have mixed up someone else's record, and asks if you'll forgive an old man. The player has rejected this path, is a normal organic player from this point on, and still free to explore jedi/mandalorian/etc.

If the player chooses B, then the old man asks them "if you fully accept this revelation?" Player needs warned that this will prevent them from choosing an alternate alpha class such as jedi or mandalore. If the player agrees, then the old man points them towards the next stop on their journey to self-actuallization and discovery. This would be a series of quests similar in difficulty to the padawan trials.

Class would allow a player to be imperial, rebel, or neutral as desired. Much the same way as Jedi have multiple trees they can explore, the Cyborg class would have various trees that could be explored that would deal with things like physical attributes (increased strength to wear heavier armor, dexterity for accuracy, increased resistances to poison/disease, increased regeneration, etc.), built-in weapons (increased speed and accuracy, unique ability to conceal weapons, dual-wield proficiency, etc.)), and processing power (unlocking electronic doors/fields to avoid needing passkeys, ecm fields to lessen ranged accuracy, turret interference, increases in crafting bonuses). And like jedi, they would not have the skill points available to take it all.

This would be loosely based on Guri from the Shadows of the Empire novel with a few creative additions/modifications to make it fun and explain the limited force skills the user had acquired. Player has an advanced artificial body (such that bacta affects it, poisons work, etc.), but if they choose to follow this path they have limited themselves from becoming full jedi. It's fairly well accepted that Anakin's injuries prevented him from becoming all the emperor hoped he would, so the artifical flesh/body of this class would only allow the player to achieve the fs skills and if they accept the truth of their origin, they forego becoming a jedi (or mandalore and perhaps other alpha classes). This gives the player a choice to make that has lasting implications.

Ok there would be one problem FS village----the pth to mandalorain uhhhhh nah should be DWB or boba fett. I thought of an idea for mando you do the kill the overlord quest from fett then he says "you seem rather worthy, blah blah blah anyway then he says go craft a full suit of mando (maybe they could make it a quiest instead of a craft then come back to me then you get mando. As for the other endgame ones there needs to be a dark jedi force prgression line and a jedi on or even sith(try to overthorow vader :smileysurprised lol maybe start with iniate then acoylte then marauder and make it so kight jedi cant use "dark power" i.e. choke, lighting etc. But ofcourse you would need other attractable prosthat would be as fun/good as mado or jedi maybe captail ship commanderor the imp spy thing that was mentioned. Butfrom what i seeif there was a mando errr would bemore popular then jedibut if they were to reinstate it this would give them a opertiunty tomess around with the goining jedi system making it maybe longer w/e but great idea glad to see one of these posts

the problem is tho... normals won't stay normals forever. they're GOING to move into alpha class before long. it's just a fact. now, they WILL become jedi because that the only option right now. we need more options, but the point is, it has to be more end-game content, mor alpha classesto spread the number of alphas across a larger scope.

normal professions haven't been so outclassed that no one uses them, and they probably never will. but the normals will always be weak compared to alphas, player skill aside (tho that would favor the alphas also most of the time, or at least it should). there will always be a war between normals and alphas. but even while normals cry nerf, they're moving into alpha status. It can't be stopped. but what we CAN do is engineer the environment so that the alphas are properly tested and checked against each other, in a way that does not bring the normals to despair, and that is what we have to do.

Still wondering if the other alphas have any penalty systems in place, such as Jedi do with BH/xp loss?
