I made a bet with someone I could do it before them, and I won. Before making that bet, Jedi never interested me really.

Hrmm.... why unlock and grind jedi? Let me count the ways:
- The same reason I always ran for the rocket launcher spawn in Quake: to kill stuff easier
- To be more effective in PvP against the other 400 or so jedi on Bloodfin
- To be able to undertake more high end PvE content regardless of whether I'm in a group orsolo(yes, I farm my krayt loot by myself)
- To get the free second character slot to start my business without having to pay for a second account to run a combat toon
- Because whether or not we like to admit it, the village is technically "content" (albeit of questionable quality)
- Because when Jagori visited me last year and showed me SWG for the first time on his computer he said, "do all this stuff and you can actually become a jedi," to which I replied, "and I will," so I did.
- Because I'm a forum junkie and I read howto's and FAQ's all day. So now when guildies have a question about becoming a jedi, I know how to answer it because a) I read about it on the forums, and b) I already did it for my unlock/trials/etc.
- Finishing such a long task brings a feeling of accomplishment regardless of the level of difficulty.
- I like to force infuse swoops.
- To some extent, I enjoy being "hunted" by other players. It's exciting and adds an unexpected element to the game. I've been on the terms from day 1. (disclaimer: yes... it's true that no bounty hunter has ever collected on my bounty... I must be worth millions by now)

Been playing since Euro launch, seemed a natural thing to move onto Jedi after nearly 1 and a half years, wasnt interested in going for jedi from start, i wanted to play around a few profs first, dida couple, but the one i stuck with till i went Jedi was Smuggler, used to be the old Triple master Smuggler, TKA and Pistoleer, was fun.

What was the main reason for you to grind jedi?

I'm a launch character. Never wanted jedi before, didn't bother to hologrind, but as time went on and content grew thinner and thinner there is nothing left for me in the game except jedi. So i finally unlocked it, and so far am having a blast.

I played to Jedi because its something I've always wanted to do....
That and I wanted to have the ability to become one of the best there is in SWG. (But obviously Jedi needs work in that category

Well, from the time I found out we could be jedi in this game, I decided I was gonna be one no matter what it took. I just took my time and didn't rush...heck at the rate that I played the game, I could have unlocked jedi in december 2003...lol. I did not do it to be uber or pvp or be better than anyone else. To me Jedi is the icon of star wars and it's the main thing that attracted me to star wars as a kid. It was the cool factor and the fact that jedi was much different than anything any sci fi movie has ever had to offer. without jedi, for me, star wars would be the battlestar galactica, the last starfighter that noone remembers. So I set my goals to first master and enjoy every profession in the game (even on different servers), to explore and do all the content the game had to offer and finally to become a jedi. Jedi just reminds me of the shoalin temple (the laws, the discipline, thebeliefs, the training, the commitment)and everysince I can remember I was always a martial arts fan and jedi are themartial artist of thefuture to me

I wanted to choke people and shoot lightning out of my hands.
Originally I had no motivation to be a jedi but then my bro went jedi and I thought it looked really fun so I did it. Unfortunately that was Pre-CU and I unlocked days after the CU came out and realised it wasn't quite what I had seen, but still very very fun.
