Thread: For the last time, DPS means nothing!
lol - are you serious? - it means damage per second
worked out as
max damage + min damage / (speed x 2)
For those of you who insist that DPS means something, go check out the Weaponsmith forum, it's in one of the stickies ![]()
No matter how uber you think you may be, methinks the WS would know more than you about weapons, yes?
DPS means what?
Okay okay, just kiding. If you are MLS your DPS means more then if not, but the key is changing up your attacks. If you use default, DPS means nothing. IF you use several different attacks behind each other then your DPS means a little. Of course, if you just run around in hawt pants and fling poo at your enemies then you can have a DPS of 1 and everyone will still run from you.

You have no idea what your talking about. Using specials is what makes DPS inaccurate. Dps only applies to /attack command you noob.
dps isnt meaningless. if you increase your dps you have effectively increased your damage output although the display doesnt reflect correctlyby how much. as someone already said, the faster you are the higher your dps will be in relation to your max damage. if you are slow with a high max then youre going to see a lower dps than a if you had speed with the same high max. this is important for the reason being it tells you where you need to be. if you have a saber whose max is 700 and your dps is only 400ish, then that is telling you that you are no where near where your speed should be thus, your damage output isnt as great as it can be.
i dont think anyone makes the claim that dps is all-important but neither is it unimportant.

No, DPS does mean somthing. Sure it aint all but someone with a 400 dps saber hits harder then someone with a 200 dps saber. And currently its near impossible getting a new high-dps saber. Enough said.
You sir have no Idea what your talking about. Dont mislead people with your uninformed posting.
